Thanks a lot for joining us- Mohul Bhowmick and Bidipto Datta- for this exciting game of cricket in the ECS. We hope you enjoyed it. Until next time, ciao!
Mater Dei beat Overseas by 20 runs!
Michael Das 86 (41) | Aron Oulton 2-7 Heinrich Gericke 51 (24) | Suhrid Roy 2-9
Overseas tried their best to chase these runs down but were unsuccessful in the end. They would have been better served had they tried to rotate the strike on a regular basis, but they could not quite do so and ended up being second-best in this match.
Mater Dei will be quite proud of this achievement of theirs, of having beaten Overseas in this game. They will feel that they deserve this victory owing to their scintillating batting performance.
Many observers will note that the late assault in the final over of the first innings helped Mater Dei set up such a respectable total on the board. If they had not had such a big over, they would not have been able to win this game comfortably.

9.1 Pintu Ghosh to Iwan Stasch, good length ball on off-stump. Pulled to deep mid-wicket on the charge for a single.
With just one over to go, this came can end up anywhere. Mater Dei, however, are strong favourites to win it, and Overseas are going nowhere.
