Sydney Sixers won the match by 45 runs.
That's a wrap from this contest!!! The Sydney Sixers were in the driving seat for the majority of the time in this innings. The Renegades kept on losing wickets in regular intervals. Maddinson and Marsh built up a decent partnership but it wasn't going anywhere with the lack of boundaries in it. Maddinson was having a bad day and couldn't score a single boundary and that put a lot of pressure on Marsh at the other end.
They needed more boundaries between the two and fewer dot balls as well. Marsh paced his innings well but couldn't get the due support from the other end. Moreover, Sixers' bowlers were clinical with their lines and lengths as well. They made life tough for the batters.
The fast bowling duo of Jackson Bird and Sean Abbott didn't give anything to the batter up top. Bird was swinging the ball in the air and Abbott was getting the movement off the surface. He was also bowling fast enough to beat the batsman. His figures are enough to depict his performance today.
How good was Ben Dwarhuis though? He was a bit expensive as compared to other bowlers. However, the way he wiped out the tail with his fullish deliveries is remarkable. A fifer in a T20 game is always special and when it has its contribution to the team's victory, the happiness doubles. Take a bow, Ben Dwarhuis!!!
That's all we've got for you from this match as I, Suraj Jajoo, along with my co-commentator Pradeep, sign off at the moment. Stay tuned for more exciting BBL action here on Sportskeeda. Till then, take care and don't stop taking all the precautions. tata!
Ben Dwarshuis has been adjudged the Player of the match for his magnificent bowling tonight, picked up his first five-for!
Dwarshuis says, thank you very much, well, the wicket was a little bit slow and the odd one's keeping a little low as well. Was trying to hit the deck hard, made that work a little bit easy, credit to the bowlers up top, Birdy and Sean bowled really well and set the tone for me. It's always been a challenging season, the traveling, the bubble, having a chat with the management when you need to and then go into the field and perform. Not so much of a tussle, Moises is a great captain, marshals his troops really well, reads the game really nicely, knows when to bowl his bowlers, use the resources in hand, credit to him.
