A topsy-turvy game but it was the Brisbane Heat who came out on top at the end of it. The Renegades had a worse start compared to the Heat as they lost three wickets in the powerplay. Josey Dooley took the attack to the bowlers to some extent but the lack of intent shown by Webb at the other end during their stand meant that she went for the big shot and lost her wicket.

Webb then started slowly and steadily scoring boundaries and then had support from Ellie Falconer. Falconer was the aggressor in that partnership as in her 11-ball innings, she scored 27 runs courtesy of 3 boundaries and 2 huge maximums. She too was dismissed looking to go for big shots and lost her wicket when they were in touching distance of the target. Courtney Webb did a good job towards the end by taking the attack to the bowlers but that wasn't enough as she didn't have enough support from the tail as the Renegades were all out for 137.

Brisbane Heat was clinical with the ball in hand. Charli Knott and Amelia Kerr picked up 3 wickets each with Kerr cleaning up the tail in no time. Courtney Sippel and Hancock were the two pacers used and the duo picked up 2 wickets each. The bowling unit picked up wickets at regular intervals and that helped their side to register a crucial victory
