When it was 1 for 1 in 1.1 overs with Kim Garth striking with her first ball of the day, little did the Stars know that it would be their last wicket that they pick today. Before today, Stars have conceded the lowest runs in the powerplay (23) - and it does not surprise us looking at the fast bowling quality that they have. Only 4 runs were scored from the first couple of overs in this match.

Amelia Kerr would have been keen on making this a memorable debut in the Sixers t-shirt and she became the first batter from her side today to reach double digits. Ellyse Perry's previous scores this season read : 81, 54, 31* and 86. She was 3 from 10 balls until the last ball of the powerplay where she cut Kim Garth for her first boundary of the day.
