Hira Sabadell beat Men in Blue by 23 runs. Abid Ali 76 (30) | Ikram Ul Haq 2/21 Snehith Reddy 55 (21) and 2/23
Men in Blue lost their opener Soorya Balu early, but it was Snehith Reddy, who came in at number 3, who turned the game on its head. He found some support from opener Shankar Kaligatla, but it was only so much that the latter could do. In the event, after Reddy departed, Men in Blue completely their way. Pratik Shah and Ram Kranthi tried their best to have a say on this matter, but the bowlers of Sabadell, led by the likes of Abid Ali and Shafat Ali Syed, not to mention Zeeshan Ashraf to an extent, were top-class with their lengths and ensured that the opposition batters just did not get any room to free their arms. This win will give Sabadell a lot of confidence, more so as they go into the second game between these two teams in a day, which is about to begin in a few minutes’ time!
