That's all from us ! This is Soumarya Dutta, signing off on behalf of Srivathsa. See you soon!
Aiden Markram, Sunrisers Eastern Cape, Captain - Marco was unbelievable for us and credit goes to him! Roelof brings a lot of character to the side and he found the wickets at the right time. We're still not playing to our full potential but to snatch away such victories from the jaws of defeat is definitely giving some positive signs for us, going forward in the tournament.
Marco Jansen, Player of the match- Obviously really pleased with my effort! I've become a lot more confident about my batting these days and the more time I spend at the wicket the better I get. We had to target one bowler and decided that it was going to be Rashid but he is certainly a world class bowler.
Rashid Khan, MI Cape Town captain - It happens in cricket sometimes and that 16th over changed the game completely! Credit goes to Marco Jansen and he was brilliant. T20 is a hard format and the game can change at any moment. They played my two overs really well and it's a big lesson for me. I feel we had enough on the board and the pitch had quite a bit in it for our quick bowlers.
Woww!! What an absolute thriller of a contest did we just witness here! The Sunrisers were done, they were dead and buried at the 15th over with 6 wickets down but one man had other ideas! Marco Jansen played one of the greatest knocks one will be see in T20 cricket and snatched away a victory from the jaws of defeat for the Sunrisers. He took on Rashid Khan and Kagiso Rabada, two of the modern greats with the ball and whacked them all over the park in his whirlwind knock of 66 of just 27 balls. Early on it was Tristan Stubbs who started the onslaught on Rashid Khan and briefly put them ahead in the contest but they lost their way again. The top order really struggled for them which increased their worries at one stage but once Marco Jansen went berserk, everything changed and we've seen before us one of the greatest chases in T20 cricket.
MI Cape Town bowlers will be kicking themselves as they had this game in their pockets having done all the hard work in the initial 15 overs. But they got their lengths wrong to Jansen and didn't go for the slower balls or the yorker enough. Rabada disappeared at the back end despite taking 3 wickets as did Sam Curran while Rashid Khan was torn apart by Jansen and Stubbs. The pick of the bowlers though was Jofra Archer who ended with remarkable figures of 1/18 in 4 overs.
This win will give a lot of confidence to the Sunrisers Eastern Cape and they will be a team to beat from here on in the tournament. For the MI Cape Town, well they will be really gutted with their bowling effort and there will be some soul searching that will happen in that dressing room especially with skipper Rashid Khan who only has himself to blame.
Sunrisers Eastern Cape have won by 2 wickets!
19.4 Sam Curran to Sisanda Magala, what an anti-climax! The no-ball ends the game. Flicked to mid-wicket and the third umpire informs that Curran has overstepped, the Sunrisers win in a thrilling encounter
19.3 Sam Curran to Sisanda Magala, he has left that. Short ball, loopy outside off, left alone and it is not a wide
19.2 Sam Curran to Roelof van der Merwe, low full-toss on the stumps, pushed to mid-on and the scores are level
Equation | 2 off 5
19.1 Sam Curran to Roelof van der Merwe, slower ball outside off, short and punched wide of backward point for an easy two
Sam Curran [3.0-0-36-1] back into the attack.
Rabada did get Jansen out in the end of that over but it might still be a little too late! The Sunrisers need just 4 runs of the final over now and with Van der Merwe still there, they will be fancying their chances here.

18.6 Kagiso Rabada to Marco Jansen, OUT! Bowled him. The slower ball on the stumps gets Jansen who attempts a wild slog and misses, walks back to a standing ovation and richly deserved too
Marco Jansen b Kagiso Rabada 66(27b 3x4 7x6)
18.6 Kagiso Rabada to Marco Jansen, WIDE! The slower ball goes just wide of the tramline on the off-side, wide called
18.5 Kagiso Rabada to Marco Jansen, back of a length outside off, punched to extra-cover
18.4 Kagiso Rabada to Marco Jansen, SIX! This is poor bowling. Low full-toss, Jansen does not try to overhit that, lofts it straight and there's enough timing to clear long-on. That should be the game, what hitting this is
18.3 Kagiso Rabada to Marco Jansen, SIX! Jansen you beauty! Short dug in on the stumps, Jansen stays back and pulls powerfully into the stands at deep square, clears the field easily again
18.2 Kagiso Rabada to Roelof van der Merwe, back of a length outside off, punched to sweeper cover
