From us, it's a hearty goodbye for now, until we meet again!

The final over isn't required, Milan Kingsgrove book a place in the quarter-finals berth as Ayeshmantha finishes things off in sumptuous fashion, a six over cow corner off the final ball of the penultimate over! The ECS journey for this year comes to an end for Cantu, they tried their best to pull things back, defending a meagre target of 71, and at one stage, you could not tell who had the advantage! Dinuk Samarawickrama hit a boundary, he was dismissed shortly after, Harsha Wass came and went, Nimna de Silva was taking the bowlers on, once he mindlessly lost his middle stump at the end of the powerplay, MKCC were in a spot of bother.

Shenal Ayeshmantha and Adnan Malik took them to 42 before Malik, too, went for an ill-advised hoick and saw his middle-stump disappear. It could have been 5 soon after once Ayeshmantha found the Sami Ullah at square leg, only for the ball to burst through his hands and drop over the ropes. The game could have taken a completely different turn right then, and another time, at the start of the 8th over, when Ayeshmantha was inexplicably dropped again. He almost holed out a third time when he took on the square leg boundary yet again, and just about cleared the fielder there. With the target down to single figures in the penultimate over, Cantu went with Hamza Habib in place of the sling-arm actioned Asad Raja, and the game was gradually taken by Milan Kingsgrove CC, Ayeshmantha, fittingly, applying the finishing touches.
