It was a convincing victory for Plovdiv at the end of this contest. It did come down to the final over but they were in complete control through and through. Despite Zain Asif being dismissed early, Mohammad Sufyan gave his team the fast start they needed in the powerplay. That set the tone for the team to give them the ideal start.

Pleven fought back admirably in the middle overs with Arun Joy working his magic with some leg spin. He gave the Pleven side a bit of hope but those were quickly put to rest by Roohan Makhdoomi and Faizan Rehman with both batters scoring quickfire thirties. The former went unbeaten in the contest to make sure he hangs there till the end to get over the line.

Plovdiv might have fancied their chances of finishing this game off earlier than they did but that's not a concern this early in the tournament. It's Plovdiv who have opened their account with two points in their first game and will want to keep building on this performance, while the Pleven side will want to turn things around quickly.
