Rahul Tripathi (Man of the Match): I think I can bat wherever it is needed. I have enjoyed batting at three. It's important that if the openers have given a good start then continuing that, or whatever the situation demands. I'm trying to learn from that. Bumrah's a great bowler. We all know he bowls great balls so I was just looking to react to whatever he's bowling. I'm really happy that shot came off. (On his approach) It depends on how the wicket is playing and how I can counterattack that bowler at that time. If it's there and I can take it on, I will definitely go for the shot otherwise I'll look to take those singles-doubles. To win games, that is more important and I am happy I could do that today. In a T20 game, I believe there cannot be a moment when you can slow down. Every ball is an event and I look for the best result on a ball. When you play cricket, it's obviously your dream to play for your country. If they believe that I can win matches for them, then definitely I will get the opportunity.

Kane Williamson (Sunrisers Hyderabad captain): Nice to break the losing streak but also win that little wrestle. Momentum was certainly not on our side and the game ebbed and flowed. All-in-all a really good performance and a lot of learnings to take away. He (Rahul Tripathi) is a seriously special player. He comes out and takes the momentum away and we have seen it on a number of occasions in this tournament. He (Umran Malik) always bowls quick which is a bonus for us. He's still really young but he's got some real talent. Priyam is a seriously talented cricketer and great that he could have that opportunity today. He's got a really good head on his shoulders - a lot of potential. Our death bowling has been our strength and Bhuvi has been one of the best death bowlers of the competition. The striking of Tim David is something special and it took some funny bit of cricket for it to come to an end. Bhuvi is back to his best and to lead our attack. His contribution today and to bowl a maiden is an amazing contribution and a match winning moment.

Rohit Sharma (Mumbai Indians captain): Till about second last over, we thought we had it. We thought we were very much in the game before that unfortunate run-out. 19 runs in two overs, you would usually back yourself to get it. Credit to SRH for the way they held their nerve in the back end. We wanted to try a few things, keeping one eye on the future. We wanted to try out certain bowlers in pressure situations. They batted very well to get to 193. The way we pulled things back was a great effort. We were not consistent up front but it was great to pull things back. With the bat too, we were good but we could not finish things off. For us, we just want to tick off the boxes and finish off on a high note. We will try everything on our end to put our best foot forward. If there is an opportunity to try out a few guys, we will definitely do that.

The sun hasn't set on the Sunrisers Hyderabad just yet. They hold their nerve in this nail-biter of a contest and get over the line by the barest of margins. The last ball maximum though. Imagine if it comes down to that for their qualification scenario? Mumbai will feel like they've let this one slip out of their hands, especially after how close Tim David got them.

Chasing a target of 194, Kishan and Rohit set the platform for them with a 95-run opening stand. However, SRH pulled things back with back-to-back wickets to have Mumbai in a spot of bother. Umran Malik played game-changer with his magnificent spell of 3/23 attacking the heart of the MI batting unit and dismissing Kishan, Tilak and Sams in his spell.

SRH seemingly had the game in the bag but Tim David had other plans. His 18-ball 46 was a blitzkrieg of the highest order as he led the onslaught on Natarajan to turn this tie on its head. The left-arm seamer kept his nerve though, delivering the pivotal run out as David tried to sneak a single on the final ball of an over that went for 26.

Once the big man was back in the hut, it was all about Bhuvneshwar Kumar's penultimate over. A wicket-maiden in the 19th over to more or less seal the deal for his side was the cherry on the topping in what was a topsy-turvy game and a proper classic this season. Kane Williamson's men held their nerve and have kept their season alive, for now.
