A horrific run chase from the Tallinn Strikers and it is the Mustamae Bulls who have defended a low score rather comfortably with some exceptional bowling and fielding performance as they take their first win on the network on their debut match.

97 should have been an easy chase but Strikers got off to the worst possible start losing their skipper Habib Khan off the first ball to Manupriyal. Shayan Khan hit some big strokes and at the end of the powerplay it looked like it would be a comfortable chase for the Strikers with the score reading 37/1.

But then, Shayan got out in the fourth over with score at 44 and what followed was an absolute procession. From 44/1, Tallinn Strikers had the most dramatic collapse as they slipped to 67/9 losing 8 wickets for 23 runs.

It seemed as if none of the batters could even get the ball off the square as the spinners took control in the middle. Eranga got 2 wickets, Lingamaneni got 3 and Manupriyal returned and got 2 more as well taking his tally to 3. The bowlers in combination derailed and absolutely choked the batting effort.

The Strikers needed a partnership like the Bulls had in their batting effort. The Bulls themselves had gotten off to a poor start and were placed on 27/4 at one stage, But then, Makalande and Eranga did the repair work as they put on a 55-run stand and gave their bowlers something to bowl at. Makalande got himself a fifty and that kind of an innings eventually proved to be the difference.
