Thanks a lot for joining us- Mohul Bhowmick, Pradeep and Bidipto Datta- for this exciting game in the Super Sixes of the ICC Cricket World Cup Qualifiers. We hope you enjoyed it. Until next time, ciao!
Scott Edwards [The Netherlands' captain]: Things went really well for us. In the middle, there was a phase when we struggled, but credit to Vikram, Wesley and Saqib to take us to such a big total. It was awesome to see Vikram get his first hundred. We did have the plan to bowl them out as quickly as we could for our net run rate. We will watch the other games but we can't do much about them. We will prepare for our next match.
Aqib Ilyas [Oman captain]: First of all, I want to give credit to their batters, the way they played with the conditions on offer and I thought our bowlers were very good but they survived the first six overs, they picked up the momentum and carried on with it, the fielding wasn't great from us and they pushed us hard. We were confident, whatever the target is we wanted to go after and the dug out is always positive, unfortunately, we lost wickets at the start and couldn't keep up the required run-rate later. The plan was to focus on our strengths and not the opposition's, we wouldn't execute our plans today and Netherlands were better side today. Ayaan is a great batter, he's always positive and it's good to get a hundred at such stage. Some new guys are in the side, we've come out well among the associate nations, when you play such tournaments with top teams, now you know where you are and we will work on it and become better in future.
Vikramjit Singh is the Player of the Match! Here's what he has to say: Amazing feeling, waited a long time for this and finally getting a maiden ODI hundred. We talked about that, it's going to do a bit in the first 15 overs, tactic was to look out for it and bat normally like we do always. For me, it was all about to bat as long as I can and everything will take care of itself.
The Netherlands beat Oman by 74 runs (DLS method)!
As was expected, Oman came nowhere close to the target that they were set thanks to the DRS revision. Aryan Dutt and Ryan Klein did extremely well with the ball in hand for the Netherlands and ensured that Oman could not quite chase this total down.
In the end, the margin by which Oman lost this game was massive. However, the one positive that they can take out of this game is Ayaan Khan's performance with the bat. He stood up to the barrage of short-pitched bowling by the Dutch and made sure that he answered fire with fire.
The southpaw was in his element whenever the Dutch pitched the ball wide outside off and also when they went marginally short. He did extremely well for himself and was assisted by Shoaib Khan, who got 46 himself. The Netherlands completely outplayed Oman in this game.
Earlier in the day, it was Vikramjit Singh who set up this massive total for the Dutch thanks to his stroke-filled century. The experienced Wesley Barresi too scored 97, and was unfortunate to fall just three runs short of a well-deserved century. The Netherlands will want to take the confidence they gained further into the competition.
The umpires have had a conversation within themselves and it looks like they are talking about the fading light. We have just four overs to go now- Edwards might as well go with the spinners if he chooses to. Oh, the players are shaking hands now! It appears as if the game has come to an end, thanks to bad light. The umpires leave it upto Ayaan Khan and Suraj Kumar, who say that they don't want to prolong this any further. The Dutch have won this game!

43.6 Ryan Klein to Suraj Kumar, length delivery outside the off-stump, Suraj leans and pushes it straight to extra-cover for no run.
43.5 Ryan Klein to Suraj Kumar, OH DEAR! That just falls short of Edwards, short and angled in, cramped up the batter. Suraj leans back to guide it but that brushes the glove along the way but falls in front of Edwards who dives forward.
43.4 Ryan Klein to Suraj Kumar, back of a length on the stumps, Suraj leans and flicked it behind square and they hare back for the brace.
Mid off is inside the circle.
43.3 Ryan Klein to Suraj Kumar, length delivery on the off-stump, Suraj gets forward to defend it into the off-side.
43.2 Ryan Klein to Ayaan Khan, low full toss outside the off-stump, Ayaan smacked it to extra-cover for a quick single.
43.1 Ryan Klein to Suraj Kumar, OH! Slight hesitation but Ayaan was quick to get to the strikers end. Suraj taps the short delivery into the off-side for a tight single.
43.1 Ryan Klein to Suraj Kumar, WIDE! Short and angled it down the leg-side, Suraj swings and misses and it's been called a wide.
Ryan Klein [8-1-29-2] is back into the attack.
Just five overs to go now, and the Dutch will be looking to wrap things up as quickly as they can. Oman do not stand a realistic chance of winning this game anymore. It will help if they try out some quirky shots instead.
