Belgium 114/8 in 10 overs lose to Norway by 31 runs.

It is the first loss for Belgium and the first win for Norway. And the Norwegians open their account in style by crushing Belgium by 31 runs. A tall chase Belgium started poorly as they were reduced to just 15/3 after Powerplay. The first three overs of Belgium's chase pretty much sealed the fate of the match. Belgium could not recover from the poor start as they kept losing wickets at regular intervals. In chase of 146 there were as many as four ducks and two scores in single digits. Those numbers highlight how tough it was for the Belgium batters in the chase. Only Murd Ekrami played an innings of some substance as played an entertaining knock of 32 from 9 deliveries. But his efforts arrived too late. The Norway bowlers made the most of the poor show from the Belgium batters. Vinay Ravi did the early damage as he picked 2 wickets. Hayatullah Niazi bowled a splendid spell of 3/14 from his 2 overs. His 3 wickets coming in just one over.
