That brings us to the end of our coverage from the final of ECS Switzerland. After some intense action over the last few weeks, it's Olten who has won the championship. Cricketing action continues with so many matches lined up tomorrow. Like always it was a pleasure bringing all the live coverage from this encounter. Till the next time, this is myself (Arya Sekhar Chakraborty) signing off also on behalf of my fellow commentator and good mate Rajarshi Das. Cheers!
Olten beat Zurich Nomads by 5 wickets (with 3 deliveries to spare)
Raihan Stanikzai 54(17) | Diyon Johnson 1/28(2) Faheem Nazir 92*(33) | Tharanitharan Thanabalasingham 2/32(1.3)
Olten never felt threatened with the target of 154. They had done it earlier in the tournament and repeated the feat in the biggest game of the competition. Roshanth Krishnamoorthy and Yasothran started off well with the former smashing a four and six before his departure. It was Raihan Stanikzai who turned the game on its head with his blistering strokeplay.
It was clinical hitting from the left-hander as he raced off to a quickfire half-century of just 15 deliveries. He was supported well by Diyon Johnson but he failed to get the big shots going. Raihan was eventually dismissed on 54 off 17 deliveries, which included 7 fours and 4 sizes. The pressure was back on Olten with some quick wickets.
The Zurich Nomads couldn't quite finish the 9th over inside the stipulated time which meant that Olten was rewarded 5 extra runs which proved to be instrumental in the final result of the game. With 11 required off 5 deliveries, captain Shahid Waridu cracked a couple of sixes of as many deliveries to bring about the celebrations from the Olten dugout.
What a thrilling finish! Waridu races out to his teammates after smashing a couple of sixes to win it for Olten. Absolutely staggering show out there and in the end, the Zurich Nomads will feel a bit hard done by. What about a finish. You won't see many better matches than this in the ECS competition. What a sensational run chase. Scoring at over 15 is never easy and Olten made it look relatively easy in the end. The Zurich Nomads had their moments but in the end Olten are the deserving champions. The celebration will on for a long time. They will treasure and enjoy this moment for years to come.
9.3 Tharanitharan Thanabalasingham to Shahid Waridu, SIX! Olten are the champions of Switzerland! Waridu's bat goes for a toss right after he cleared the ropes, he runs towards his dug out, arms spread out, and is mobbed by his teammates! Another rank long hop from Tharanitharan, Waridu made room for himself, and flat-batted this one towards deep extra cover! The man out there was interested for quite a bit, he leapt, but was never going to get a hand to it! Olten clinch the ECS Switzerland trophy with a 5-wicket win against Zurich Nomads!
9.2 Tharanitharan Thanabalasingham to Shahid Waridu, SIX! This one turned out to be a fraction short outside off, Waridu waited for it, and gave it a good whack with a flat bat! The Olten dugout broke into a roar as the ball clattered onto the seats down the ground!
Shahid Waridu, RHB is the new man in.
So the drama isn't over yet. Diyon Johnson departs after a couple of powerful blows.
9.1 Tharanitharan Thanabalasingham to Diyon Johnson, OUT! The slow bowler delivers early in the final over! Dug in on a length outside off, Diyon went for a flat-batted slog down the ground, ended up slashing it high up towards long on, the man out there circled under it, and took a pressure catch!
Tharanitharan Thanabalasingham [1-0-20-1] is back into the attack.
That will be end of the penultimate over and Olten have been rewarded 5 extra runs. It has come down to 11 required off the final over. That was a productive over for Olten with 15 coming off it but to add to misery was Nazir taking so much time to complete the over.

8.6 Faheem Nazir to Diyon Johnson, full outside off, heaved down to the man at long on. Just a single. Guess what, that'll count as 6, the fielding team has failed to complete their allotted over within the time limit, and have been penalized 5 runs!
8.5 Faheem Nazir to Diyon Johnson, SIX! Game on! Pitched on a length outside off, Johnson gave himself room, and carved this one beautifully over the boundary at deep extra cover!
8.4 Faheem Nazir to Muralitharan Gnanasekaram, short of a length down leg, pulled away towards deep square leg. Just a single
The clock has run out and Olten might get some five bonus runs. Not sure whether it will be added in this over but this could turn out in favor of Olten.
8.3 Faheem Nazir to Muralitharan Gnanasekaram, FOUR! On a good length outside off, Murali carved this one past the gap at backward point, and found the boundary!
8.2 Faheem Nazir to Muralitharan Gnanasekaram, dot ball
8.2 Faheem Nazir to Muralitharan Gnanasekaram, no ball! Pitched close to the tramline, Murali inside edged this one onto his pad. Free hit coming up!
8.1 Faheem Nazir to Muralitharan Gnanasekaram, on a good length outside off, slashed out to the man at deep backward point, who returned to the keeper's end. The batters looked to come back for the second and made it
8.1 Faheem Nazir to Muralitharan Gnanasekaram, wide
Faheem Nazir [1-0-24-0] is back into the attack.
That's a superb over from Azeem Nazir in the context of the game. He managed to nail his Yorkers and didn't really allow the two batters to get under any off his deliveries. 32 more needed off 12 deliveries and it could go either way here.
