Match summary: Edex Knights beat Overseas CC by 9 wickets.
Samuel Stanislaus 33* (18) | Justin Shaju 1/7 (2) Eldon Pillay 20* (25) | David Marks 1/17 (2)
Another dominating performance by the Edex Knights. They just haven't put a foot wrong today and have kickstarted their ECS Malta 2022 campaign in grand fashion with back-to-back victories. While their batters set it up in the first encounter, it was the turn of their bowlers to do so this time around, restricting Overseas CC to a mere 61/5.
In response, Basil George and Samuel Stanislaus wasted no time in asserting themselves. Making the most of the field restrictions, anything loose was duly dispatched while they found the fence at will to leave Overseas CC with plenty of catching up to do. It was a lost cause though given that they had very few runs to play with.
At 39/1 in 3 overs, the game was dead and buriud. Stanislaus didn't put a foot wrong and if anything, it was a bit of an anticlimax that the game stretched into the start of the 7th over as the batters chose to do it in singles towards the end. But it's been a stellar performance nonetheless by the Knights who have laid down an early marker. For Overseas CC, this is a time to reflect and regroup with plenty of work to do across departments.
And that will be that! Stanislaus does hit the winning runs but it was a no ball for height and that, in many ways, sums up the dominance by the Knights today!
6.1 Jack Barritt to Samuel Stanislaus, NO BALL FOR HEIGHT! THAT WILL DO IT! EDEX KNIGHTS GET THEIR SECOND WIN IN A ROW! Full toss outside off, pulled away to deep mid-wicket as well for a single from the crease.
Jack Barritt comes into the attack.
A bit of an anticlimactic finish here with the Knights happy to do it in singles. The scores are level though and they are just one run away.

It's been a stroll in the park for the Edex Knights who now require just 5 runs to win. One big hit away - will Stanislaus finish it in style?
