Durban Super Giants 159/8 in 20 overs Heinrich Klassen 57 *(39) | Bjorn Fortuin 3/14 Wiaan Mulder 29(24) | Evan Jones 4/34
What an unbelievable thriller did we just witness here! Heinrich Klassen had almost pulled off a remarkable win for the Durban Super Giants but he was left stranded in the end thanks to some incredible death bowling by Evan Jones. The Super Giants struggled throughout the innings and we're looking down and out at 78/5 but Klassen started his counter attack from there and created the pressure on the Paarl Royals. He got good company from Maharaj and Jonker but once the former was dismissed the rest of the tail enders failed to give him the support that he needed so badly. In the end they fell short by 10 runs and it all came down to the fall of wickets in the middle overs.
The Royals started off in superb fashion as Bjorn Fortuin ran through the Durban top order in the powerplay! Once he had done that, it was never going to be easy for them. Tabraiz Shamsi had an off day as he travelled around the park but Evan Jones was the pick of the bowlers for them. He managed to take 4 wickets and held his nerve under pressure. At one stage he was also on a hattrick but unfortunately for him, it was not to be.
Overall, a much needed win for the Paarl Royals and their campaign is back on track again! They've been brilliant at home so far and they've made full use of the conditions at hand. Durban on the other hand will walk away disappointed from this game. They will have to work on their batting and especially the top-order that really led them down on this occasion.

19.6 Evan Jones to Prenelan Subrayen, THAT'S IT! Evan Jones under pressure bowls a sensational final over to hold on to his nerve as Royals get over the line of this re-match. Length delivery, tailed into Subrayen on the leg-stump, whips it to deep square-leg for one!
19.5 Evan Jones to Prenelan Subrayen, BIG APPEAL FOR LBW, NOT GIVEN! Low full toss, tailed into Subrayen on the leg-stump, swings and misses, thuds on the pad, that was missing leg-stump and that's the game for the Royals!
19.5 Evan Jones to Prenelan Subrayen, WIDE! Bangs in the short delivery, goes well over Subrayen who swivels to pull and misses, called a wide.
19.4 Evan Jones to Heinrich Klaasen, low full toss, tailed into Klaasen's leg-stump, swings across the line and misses, thuds on the pad.
Good stuff from Jones here as he has only gone for the ones and twos!! He will need to find a boundary of this ball somehow!
19.3 Evan Jones to Heinrich Klaasen, OH! Change of pace, low full toss on the fourth stump, Klaasen walks across and too early into the swipe, through backward square-leg for another couple. Where are the boundaries when you need them? Klaasen has to connect big with the next one.
19.2 Evan Jones to Heinrich Klaasen, full and follows the batter as Klaasen backed away, lifted it straight down the ground, they somehow manage to come back for the brace.
19.1 Evan Jones to Prenelan Subrayen, low full toss, misses out on the yorker, Subrayen smacked it back past the bowler, down to long-off for a single, more importantly Klaasen is back on strike.
Are you kidding me!! Heinrich Klassen has been incredible today! He has brought this game alive here and we're heading into the last over with 19 runs to win. Can Klassen snatch victory from the Jaws of Defeat?

18.5 Lungi Ngidi to Heinrich Klaasen, full and well outside the off-stump, Klaasen lifted it down to wide long-olff, fielder had to come around and they scamper back for the brace.
18.5 Lungi Ngidi to Heinrich Klaasen, WIDE! Length delivery but that nips away outside the tramline, called a wide.
18.4 Lungi Ngidi to Prenelan Subrayen, yorker length on the fifth stump, Subrayen swings and drills it down to long-on for a single.
