Till then, this is Dwaipayan Mukherjee, signing off, with my co-commentator Rajarshi Das. See you all soon!
There is a double-header tomorrow at the SA20. The defending champions, Sunrisers Eastern Cape, will take on last year’s wooden spoon holders, MI Cape Town at St. George's Park before we head towards the clash between the bottom placed sides - Pretoria Capitals and Johannesburg Super Kings at Centurion, join us for those exhilarating matches!
Quinton de Kock | Player of the Match: I guess so. (has the work to move to the middle order worked or not) I have told coaches to put me no. 3 or 4 and today it came off. It has been pretty relaxed. I have not got starts and I just needed something to click or spend some time in the middle. The pitch was little bit slow and I took my time to get in. There is banter, just letting them know who the boss is (speaking about his chat with Phehlukwayo), we train a lot together and kind of understand each other, that does help a bit. I haven't seen how the wicket has played here before but it played well today. Us guys batting in the top four set it up for him (Klaasen) and he comes and finishes things off.
Keshav Maharaj, Durban Super Giants captain: We saw the class of Quinny today. He found his rhythm and I am happy for him. He is quite an easy guy and happy to bat anywhere. The way he paced his innings was superb to watch. They said the wicket was getting better but the bowlers utilised the conditions well. Smuts bowled the difficult over and got the wicket, we just followed suit and the fast bowlers also did their job. It is not about getting complacent and keep the momentum going. If you had told us two bonus point wins before getting to Durban, we would have taken it. We have done relatively well in Durban and hopefully do well on Sunday.
David Miller, Paarl Royals captain: We wanted to chase had we won the toss. Unfortunately, chasing 190 after losing a couple of wickets, which they did, stuff to continue with our momentum. They batted really well in the back end, some 40 runs in the last 2-3 overs. That set us back a bit, it wasn't our night tonight. We're comfortable with all the wickets we get. Boland Park's a lovely place to play cricket. We've got one more game here and we're going to make that one count. You've got to be on your mark against world-class batters (On Klaasen and de Kock). They batted superbly at the back end and put us under pressure. Big score to chase, not our night. Nothing to be concerned, couple of conversations around two areas of the game. We've been pretty consistent - second game lost in 7 games. We're on a good path, we want to really stamp our authority towards the back end and play cricket that we really know. Something in T20 it can go like that. Calf's strong.
Durban Super Giants (190/3) defeat Paarl Royals (133 all out) by 57 runs
Jos Buttler - 45 (36) | Andile Phehlukwayo - 18 (17) Marcus Stoinis - 3/24 | Keshav Maharaj - 2/24
When Durban scored 190 for 3, it always felt as if it was going to be a bridge too far to cross. The highest successful chase at this ground was 159 by Paarl against the Pretoria Capitals. So when the score went past 175, it really required something magnificent that unfortunately did not transpire for the men in pink.
All the bowlers who turned up for DSG got themselves to the wickets column, with Stoinis getting 3 scalps. England international Reece Topley picked up 2 wickets, so did the skipper Keshav Maharaj. JJ Smuts and the Afghan duo of Naveen and Noor had all got themselves a wicket each.
Jason Roy and Jos Buttler got the Paarl Royals to a brisk start but their 34 run stand remained the highest partnership for the home team. DSG kept on picking wickets at regular intervals. That often helps when you are defending and the visitors kept on delivering the goods.
This win takes them to the top of the table. For Paarl Royals, it is a hiccup, but something that does not harm their qualification scenario, thanks to their exceptional performance throughout the season so far.
Stay tuned for the reactions from the post-match presentation.
19.3 Naveen-ul-Haq to Lungisani Ngidi, OUT! Durban's Super Giants claim the bragging rights in this top of table clash, usurp the Paarl Royals and regain that top spot! Slower ball, pitched up outside off stump. Ngidi looked to swing at it across the line, met it well, but didn't quite exert enough power to clear long off. The man in the deep, Maharaj, came in, got low and wrapped his palms around it
Lungisani Ngidi c Keshav Maharaj b Naveen-ul-Haq 2 (4b, 0x4, 0x6)
19.2 Naveen-ul-Haq to Tabraiz Shamsi, close to the blockhole outside off, sliced towards cover point for a single
19.1 Naveen-ul-Haq to Lungisani Ngidi, yorker on off stump, dug out towards long off for a single
Tabraiz Shamsi, RHB, comes to the crease

18.6 Reece Topley to Obed McCoy, CASTLED! Full, straight, and that's 9 down! Truth be told, this was there to be hit, but McCoy ended up swinging all around it! Full on off stump, the ball sneaked through under the inside edge and clattered onto middle and leg!
Obed McCoy b Reece Topley 1(2b, 0x4, 0x6)
18.5 Reece Topley to Lungisani Ngidi, low, straight full toss, Ngidi bunts this one wide of mid on. Just a single
18.4 Reece Topley to Obed McCoy, full, outside off stump, dragged towards the man at long on for a run
Obed McCoy, left handed bat, comes to the crease
18.3 Reece Topley to Andile Phehlukwayo, TAKEN! This one came down with snow on it, but Breetzke wrapped his palms around it successfully! Full, on middle and leg, Phehlukwayo had a wild swing at it, ended up hoisting it miles up towards deep mid wicket. Breetzke ran in, had ample time to settle under it and made no mistake
Andile Phehlukwayo c Matthew Breetzke b Reece Topley 18(17b, 1x4, 1x6)
23 runs from 10 balls needed now for the game within the game - the bonus point - to be or not to be?
18.2 Reece Topley to Andile Phehlukwayo, FOUR! Full, wide outside off stump, Phehlukwayo throws his hands at it, pierces the gap behind point, and hits the ropes!
18.1 Reece Topley to Andile Phehlukwayo, full, on leg stump, dug out towards long on. Phehlukwayo calls "No" straight away
66 runs needed from 12 balls, 28 runs to prevent the bonus point going to DSG!
Stoinis finishes with another 3-fer. He is turning into a valuable commodity with the ball.
