It was a historic day for Muneeba Ali as she broke many records and propelled her team to a massive win. This is arguably Pakistan's best match in T20 as they were clinical in all three facets of the game. On the other hand, this is a game to forget for Ireland as they had enough firepower to make a match out of this but they let themselves down with the ball and in the field. Their batting was promising at the start but Pakistan spinners did a demolition act in the end and bundled them out for 95. On that note, it's time to end the coverage here and hope you enjoyed it. Until next time, this is Pragadeesh and Karthik Raj saying goodbye and goodnight
Bismah Maroof (Pakistan Women's Captain) - It was a clinical performance. I am proud of the way Muneeba batted and hope she continues her good form. I told her to spend time in the middle and bat deep. I think the fast bowling department did well. (Did the loss against India hurt?) Of course but we have taken the positives and improved well. We will cut the cake after heading back to the hotel
Laura Delany (Ireland Women's Captain): We underperformed today. We started well with the bat but were disappointed with the finish. It's a lovely group of players and they are open to learning. The spinners put up a good fight against England and they will learn more once they get more experience. Lovely wicket to bat on and we will get the best use of the track in the next encounter. (On Muneeba) She was brilliant and well-batted to her
Muneeba Ali, Player of the Match: I think when I got a start and had a partnership with Nida, she just told me to keep going. I was just playing with the field. Was making a plan to get regular boundaries. Nida also helped me a lot. I am also very happy for this innings, enjoyed the match. I want to dedicate my award to the captain and team-mates because we had a tough last match.
Pakistan Women won by 70 runs Muneeba Ali 102(68) | Orla Prendergast 31(21) Nashra Sandhu 4-18(4) | Arlene Kelly 2-27(3)
The night belongs to Muneeba as she leads the players to the dugout. Ireland showed a lot of promise at the start as Prendergast played a brilliant cameo to instill hopes but Sandhu shattered that by getting rid of her in the 8th over. Soon after, it was Richardson, who entertained the Irish fans by scoring a couple of boundaries but Sandhu dismissed her as well and that proved to be the last roll of the dice for Ireland
After Richardson got out, the Pakistan spinners bossed the show and picked up four wickets for just five runs. After failing to deliver their goods against India at the back end, Dar & co-produced a much-improved performance to shut the gates for the opposition. Sandhu, in particular, went for a few runs at the start, however, she was clinical with her bowling once Prendergast got out, and eventually, registered her best bowling figures in T20s, while Nida Dar got an all-important wicket of Gaby Lewis with a lovely delivery before cleaning up Murray in her second spell
16.3 Sadia Iqbal to Leah Paul, CASTLED!! Length delivery, Leah looks to push it towards the off-side but she misses and the ball goes onto strike the stumps. That seals a dominant 70-run win for Pakistan!
Leah Paul b Sadia Iqbal 4 (8b, 0x4, 0x6)
16.2 Sadia Iqbal to Leah Paul, very full on the stumps, Leah comes down and drives it on the full to the bowler. No run
16.1 Sadia Iqbal to Leah Paul, full outside-of, Leah comes down and drives it to mid-off. No run
Pakistan spinners have been all over the Irish tailenders Can Iqbal finish things off?
