THE PELICANS BEAT THE VOYAGERS BY 20 RUNS!
Jonathan Drakes 37(21) | Dre Springer (2-0-14-1) Akeem Springer 30(17) | Carlos Brathwaite (1-0-9-2)
And, just like that an enthralling and ecstatic game of cricket comes to an end, with the better team on a whole today, taking home the label of victory.
It all took off with Jonathan Drakes playing a wonderful and steady 37 off 21 deliveries, with some fascinating shots over all the boundary rides, and then there was a slight thunderstorm that happened upon the ground, in the form of Carlos Brathwaite, who played a scintillating knock of 30 in 10 ball to absolutely steal the limelight in the matter of few thumps, which seemed to be effortless from a spectator's perspective.
With the ball for the Voyagers, Dre Springer was exceptional, showcasing his class as a bowler, with some quality variety on a surface that offered uneven bounce and consistency.
For the Voyagers, nothing seemed to have clicked as they would've liked for it for, with the openers getting off to contrasting starts, with Jadan Jones, playing a strike rate lesser than the bare minimum of 100 and is fellow mate, Akeem Springer, getting the team off to a flamboyant start with 30 off 17 balls.
Jamar Ifill and Carlos Brathwaite stole the limelight with some tremendous display of skill and finesse, with some top class bowling, especially Ifill, who's figures may lie to this comment, but he bowled exemplarily, for the stage he was handed the ball in.
Overall, it was a good game of cricket, the Pelicans were one up the Voyagers, who I am sure will try and re-voyage their journey in the path of victory for the next game!

9.6 Carlos Brathwaite to Giovente Depeiza, skied... and CAUGHT! Brathwaite finishes with two wickets to his name to go along with the 10-ball 30 earlier! Full on off stump, Depeiza looked to sign off on a high by hoisting it towards the square leg region. Height is all he got, the man at short fine settled under the ball and took it safely! The Pelicans claim a third successive victory - the margin being 20 runs!

RHB, Amari Goodridge, walks into the middle
9.4 Carlos Brathwaite to Larry Babb, BOWLED! Brathwaite wins the contest against Babb! He takes all the pace off this one, keeps it on a good length on middle and leg. Babb is a year early into his stroke, ends up wafting at thin air, and the ball crashes onto the leg stump!
9.3 Carlos Brathwaite to Larry Babb, full on middle and leg, hammered towards long on. Two taken
9.2 Carlos Brathwaite to Larry Babb, SIX! Brathwaite misses the yorker completely, firing a low full toss on the pads. Babb flicks it off them and dispatches the ball over the ropes at deep square!
9.1 Carlos Brathwaite to Larry Babb, yorker on leg, right through the legs. Babb doesn't get bat on it
Carlos Brathwaite, right arm medium fast, comes into the attack
Not the second over Edmund would have wanted for, after a magnificent first, where he was making it hard for the batters to find the gap or go over the infield fielders, but nevertheless, he concludes a good spell, which could have been much more economical. Will the big man, Brathwaite step up to bowl the final over? It looks like!

A fruitful over for Chemar, who has bowled exceptionally well and has got the ball to come back in well, and is creating a wonderful angle of delivery and also has a high release point, which further strengthens his ability to get the ball to tail back in and bounce more
