The Scorchers get to the top of the table with that point. The Hurricanes remain in the fourth spot in the table. Our coverage of the WBBL comes to an end for the day. There's another cricket match going on in Australia...... two teams named India and Pakistan play against each other at the MCG. You might want to click here to follow our coverage of the same. This is Rajarshi, signing off for the time being. Have a nice day!
Well.......you guessed it. The match has been abandoned. Two abandoned games at Perth today, the rain simply refused to go away at any stage.
Hang on a minute....why hasn't the game started yet? The rain has returned, that's why. The covers are back on.

Hello and a very good morning and evening to people all around the world! Welcome to Sportskeeda's live coverage of the Women's Big Bash League fixture between the Perth Scorchers and the Hobart Hurricanes! This is Rajarshi, and I'll be around to call all the action that'll be unfurling at the WACA in Perth over the next three hours!
The two teams are coming off rather contrasting results. The Perth Scorchers were in action against the Sydney Thunder at this very ground yesterday. Having put Sydney Thunder into bat, the Scorchers were set a target of 167 off their 20 overs, thanks to a belligerent 77 not out from Tammy Beaumont and some handy contributions from the middle-order. In reply, Sophie Devine and Beth Mooney got them off to a steady start, but once the opening duo were sent back in the hut, the plug seemed to have been pulled on the run-chase. Marizanne Kapp tried her best, but the Perth Scorchers came up short by 25 runs.
Hobart Hurricanes are coming off a long break. They played their last game a good five days ago, and were victorious against the same side that had handed a defeat to the Scorchers yesterday. Lizelle Lee's blazing 29-ball 41 got them off to a great start, and although the middle-order faltered a bit, the Hurricanes got to a total of 144, which didn't seem like a lot, but it turned out to be more than enough. Barring Ruth Johnston, every Hurricanes bowler picked up a wicket as the Hurricanes proceeded to bowl the Thunder out for 95 with just under a couple of overs to spare. Phoebe Litchfield was the only Thunder batter to have put up a major resistance, once she was dismissed for 28, the chase fell apart for them.
There's a bit of rain around in Australia since morning, with the first game of the day, the one between the Sydney Thunder and the Melbourne Stars being washed out. Hopefully, we'll get a full game this time! Stay tuned!
