What an incredible chase this from the Scorchers as Beth Mooney led from the front and played an astonishing innings to remain unbeaten at 99. This would go down as one of the best WBBL innings by the experienced Mooney. After failing with the bat, Ash Gardner delivered with the ball straightaway in her first over, getting rid of Sophie Devine.

The Sixers are good at applying pressure in the middle overs and that was key to their success in this tournament so far, but Mooney ran riot, smashing boundaries and sixers at regular intervals to keep the scorecard ticking. The bowlers had no answers to Mooney's innovation and class. That one over from Brown proved to be match-defining as Mooney went after her, smashing 23 runs off the over

Chloe Piparo complemented Mooney really well and had the best seat in the house to watch her partner's batting today
