Thanks a lot for joining us for this excellent game of cricket in the IPL between RR and GT, which the latter won off the last ball! We hope to see you soon. Until then, goodnight!
Rashid Khan (Player of the Match): Winning this game made me feel extremely happy. I haven't bowled much in the last 3-4 months owing to the surgery. I feel that I lost a bit of my grip due to that but I had a good session ahead of this game. I had a session of spot bowling for about 1 hour 45 minutes and I feel it really helped me.
Shubman Gill (Gujarat Titans' captain): We were targeting 45 in three overs. That is what our mindset was. Mathematically, we thought that it was possible. It makes a difference if you have an extra batter there. I would have loved to finish this game but I am happy with the way Rashid bhai and Rahul bhai played. We were a little behind the game today but we managed to win it off the last ball.
Sai Sudharsan: I mean definitely we gave few runs extra in the first innings but we pulled off a great game here. I mean getting a very good powerplay was our plan. It was a par powerplay. We had the belief and yes we won it. The wicket was not that easy to bat on but it got little better after the first innings. It was a tad easier for our hitters to go out there and express themselves. This victory is much needed and will give us momentum. Hopefully, we can put up more performances like this.
Sanju Samson will hand over the purple cap to Yuzi Chahal, here is what Samson has to say: I think the last ball of the game. Yeah I think they needed two. It's very hard to speak at the moment. It's the hardest job when the team loses. After a few hours I might be able to tell you where we exactly lost. I think to be honest, you have to give credit to the Gujarat Titans. That's the beauty of this tournament so we can't demand success. We have to take the learnings and move forward. When I was batting I thought somewhere around 180 would be good. When Hetti got us to 197 I felt it was a winning score but they batted really well. No I think it was not easy to go hard at the start of the innings. I think 197 with no dew at Jaipur, we would have taken it any day.
Gujarat Titans beat Rajasthan Royals by 3 wickets!
Despite Kuldeep Sen and Sanju Samson's best attempts to do so, the course of this game could not be altered, and Gujarat Titans ended up winning this game by a comfortable margin.
In the process, they ended up being the first team in this IPL to beat Rajasthan Royal and halt their march towards the top of the standings. Sen bowled exceedingly well to pick up three wickets in his first spell of three overs, but conceded plenty in his final over when he came back in the slog.
GT will be extremely pleased to have come to Jaipur and beaten RR in their own lair. Despite Rahul Tewatia getting out off the penultimate delivery of the game, Rashi Khan kept his calm and slapped one wide of point for a boundary to seal the deal for his team.
GT will be extremely pleased with this result although RR have a lot of thinking to do. Their spinners could not quite come to the party tonight and were punished in turn whenever they erred.
GT managed to keep their composure till the end, and that is what gave them the advantage over their hosts in this game.
Rashid wins it for GT! What a game!

19.6 Avesh Khan to Rashid Khan, FOUR! Rashid Khan wins it for the Gujarat Titans. Short and wide from Avesh Khan, plenty of width on offer and that has been cut away fiercely past the backward point fielder and that races away to the fence. Gujarat Titans win by 3 wickets.
Noor Ahmad, RHB, is the new batter.
Just two runs needed now! This victory is surely just a formality for GT although Buttler managed to run Tewatia out!
Now, the umpires are checking if the run had been completed. Lots of drama in Jaipur tonight!
19.5 Avesh Khan to Rahul Tewatia, WICKET! Short of a length delivery a shade outside off, Tewatia stands tall and slams this down the ground, comfortably clears the mid-off fielder. Tewatia was looking for three runs and has been run out here. Third umpire will also check whether there was a short run from Tewatia at the bowler's end. He has made his crease comfortably but was nowhere in the picture while trying to take the third run. They had to go for the extra run and he perishes. Still 2 required off the final delivery of the match with Rashid Khan on strike.
Rahul Tewatia run out (Jos Buttler/Avesh Khan) 22 (11b 3x4 0x6)
19.4 Avesh Khan to Rashid Khan, well bowled by Avesh Khan. Rashid makes room and digs out the yorker around the middle stump towards the cover fielder and takes a single.
Fortune favours the brave, and this time, it is favouring GT! Rashid is on the verge of taking his team to victory.
19.3 Avesh Khan to Rashid Khan, FOUR! That was a decent enough delivery from Avesh Khan, he actually nailed the yorker on this occasion but Rashid manages to squeeze that away from the outside half of the bat, runs away past the keeper and the short third man fielder for a boundary. Just 5 needed off 3 now.
9 runs needed off 4 balls now!
19.2 Avesh Khan to Rashid Khan, on a fullish-length a shade outside off, Rashid tries to smash this through the off side and ends up getting an inside edge towards the long-on region and comes back for a brace.
Now just eleven needed! GT are on the chase alright! RR seem to have messed things up.
19.1 Avesh Khan to Rashid Khan, FOUR! Deep midwicket can't get to that and this shifts the game towards the Gujarat Titans. A low full toss around the middle stump, Rashid standing deep and flicks it away in the gap down towards the vacant deep square leg region.
Tewatia and Rashid are going to take this game right down to the wire. GT now need 15 runs to win off 6 balls. This game is now about to touch the four-hour mark. RR started this innings at 9:40 PM and are on the verge of taking more than 2 hours to bowl their 20 overs. Samson has to be more strict with his teammates. The innings timer pulls RR up, asking them to field with just four bowlers outside the circle for the last over.
