Commentary

Well, what a start it has been today! This game went down to the final delivery, giving us a perfect thriller all the way through. Dresden started well with the bat but lost momentum as ACB Kerala made a good comeback at the backend with the ball to restrict them to 84/6 in the end. Dresden needed early wickets and they got 4 off them in the powerplay to push Kerala on the backfoot in the chase.

Kerala had a really shaky start and kept losing wickets all the way through. However, they stuck in, did not give up and made sure they were up with that required rate and had things under control eventually. Sandeep Kamboj bowled a brilliant penultimate over to add spice to this contest but Kerala got home in the end off the very last ball, pulling this off with just two wickets left as well.

They kept going at a good rate under pressure and this has been one of the best chases you will see, particularly from a team making their ECS debut. It could not gotten any better for them and this has been a dream start given the way they have fought their way out. An early win like this will do a world of good to their confidence.

Dresden had the game in their kitty but will have to sit back and look at where they missed the trick and failed to finish the game. Both the sides will go up against each other again and we can only expect another thrilling game of cricket.
