Commentary

Has there been a better run-chase in this edition of the ECS so far? My word was that an absolutely stunning effort from Rehberge with the bat as they blew Dresden out of the contest without giving them any opportunity to comeback. They took off right from the word go and boy were they in the mood to take the bowlers to the cleaners!

71 runs off the powerplay, probably one of the best we have seen in the entire ECS thus far. It was Najibullah Yasser and Asim Rehman who got Rehberge off to an incredible start and there was no looking back as they got past the line comfortably with eight wickets and 15 deliveries to spare. Yasser was the star with a swashbuckling 15-ball 54 as he came out all guns blazing, setting the chase up quite beautifully.

Asim Rehman and Luqman Jafer doing the rest to ensure they got past the line easily in what has been a complete trashing of the Dresden bowing unit. Nothing went right for Dresden in that innings as they were all but spectators to the carnage that took the game away from them in no time and how!

Rehberge completing the double as well, going on to top the Group A table with this wonderful victory. They have been the most dominant team of the group and have lived up to their expectations as well. As for Dresden, this would be a much-needed break for them, to put this loss behind and regroup.

7.3 Sandeep Kamboj to Asim Rehman, SIX! THERE YOU GO - REHMAN SEALS IT IN EMPHATIC FASHION! Poetic justice really given how these runs were ransacked without a fuss! It was a length delivery just outside off and Rehman launches it over mid-on. He didn't seem to time it too well but it was enough to clear a leaping fielder at long on to seal the contest for his side. It has been an annihilation of the highest order as BSC Rehberge win by 8 wickets with a mammoth 15 deliveries to spare!

7.2 Sandeep Kamboj to Luqman Jafer, OUT! JAFER HOLES OUT! Good length delivery just outside the off-stump and in the corridor, Jafer miscues his swing across the line and skies it very high before the fielder runs in from wide long on to pouch a really good catch as he keeps his eyes on the ball!

7.1 Sandeep Kamboj to Luqman Jafer, FOUR! Dropped short at the stumps again and Jafer swivels into a thumping pull over mid-wicket as the ball crosses the ropes like a tracer bullet! The scores are level!

Past the hundred-mark and Rehberge are now just a hit away from wrapping this game up. This has been some really solid batting from them and there could not have been a better way for them to finish the group games could there have? They've given Dresden no chance whatsoever in this second innings! Just 5 more needed then!
