Kent Lanka Cricket Club beat Rome Bangla Morning Sun by 15 runs
One for the ages! This match epitomised what true drama means! Be it runs scored at a rapid pace to then losing wickets in bunches to smartly rotating strike when required, this game had it all. Started poorly though, Rome Bangla recovered quickly as Anik Ahmed lead the chase beautifully with his incredible skill that blossomed the one-sided contest into an even one as Rome Bangla fancied their chances. Anik scored 39 off 15 balls which consisted of 4 fours and 3 colossal sixes. It was Achinta Denuwan’s fine bowling that triggered the collapse after Anik Ahmed’s dismissal. Rajib Ahmed and Co tried to come back into the match but diminished after scoring some quick runs. All in all, another thriller of a match in the ECS which has made a habit of throwing such encounters every once in a while!
