Back-to-back thrillers in 2 days and the WPL is well and truly on! Join us tomorrow at 6.30 PM to see the Gujarat Giants take on the defending champions, Mumbai Indians. Till then, this has been Lavil Saldanha alongside Arya Sekhar Chakraborty signing off. Keep browsing Sportkeeda for the latest news in and around the world of sports. We hope to see you sometime soon. Till then, take good care of yourselves. SEE YA!
Asha Sobhana is the player of the match for her spell of 5/22. Here is what she has to say: It is a great feeling, I am not thinking about the 5 wickets I picked up but I am happy that I contributed to the team's win. I knew the situation would come up and I had done enough homework. I saw that Grace was going against the turn. I thought that if I pulled the length back she could get a top edge and lose her wicket. I was ready to be smashed but was pretty sure that I was going to get their wickets
Smriti Mandhana: A pretty good game. Even the last game came to a similar margin in the end and I remembered all the gods but the bowlers did a pretty good job. I was having a lof faith in Sophie when bowling the last over and the way Asha bowled was amazing. Whenever I used to see her on the field, she always said give the ball to me and I'll pick up a wicket. She is playing only her second season and has been around the domestic circuit for a long time. In the second timeout, we were targeting a score of 165 but S. Meghana and Richa batted really well, especially after losing me, Sophie and Pez early
Sophie Molineux: It was pretty incredible today, the fans were amazing and it was pretty loud. I started thinking about the previous eight overs and almost had an idea that I was going to bowl the last over. I haven't seen the replay of the Healy wicket. Getting her out early in this contest was crucial for us. Asha Sobhana bowled really well, but she was better with her celebrations as well
Alyssa Healy (UP Warriorz captain): Yeah a little bit. We got ourselves back in the game and then lost our way. Credit goes to Molienux for bowling beautifully. A lot to be honest. I think the differing level of experience is what we are learning at this stage. Getting ourselves over the finish line is what we have to work on. There is but a lot of positives to take out. We have had our backs to the wall. It didn't look we could take it down to the wire. In T20 cricket you win some you lose some. The message to the girls will be to come back stronger in two days. They have come in nice and early and put in the hard yards in the fielding. Proud of their effort to be honest. Vrinda is very exciting. I thought she was outstanding tonight. They will learn from this and get better as the tournament progresses.
Royal Challengers Bangalore beat UP Warriorz by 2 runs
2 humdingers in 2 days, wow! This has been a dream for anyone who loves this game. Yesterday it was Mumbai Indians, today, it is Royal Challengers Bangalore who seal the win, their first while defending a total.
The innings started nicely with Alyssa Healy getting runs off the bowling to Sophie Molineux before the latter got the better of her national captain. Vrinda Dinesh and Tahlia McGrath started the rebuild job and were successful, but were a tad bit behind the required run rate. Vrinda Dinesh lost her wicket and Tahila McGrath followed her soon, but Grace Harris walked out to the middle and changed the complexion of the game.
Grace Harris and Shewta Shrivastav did well to hit the big shots now and then. The duo batted well in the middle and added 77 runs for the fourth wicket before 3 wickets fell in the over. Poonam Khemnar came out and played some stroked, but then played along the wrong line and lost her wicket. Deepti Sharma and Sophie Ecclestone tried to finish the game off but fell short as RCB beat the UP Warriorz by a slender margin.
RCB's bowling was the star of the show. Asha Sobhana was the star of the show as he picked up 5 wickets, with three wickets coming in this over. Sophie Molineux and Georgia Wareham picked up a wicket each and assisted well with their bowling duties, helping their side to get over the line. Let's now go down to the presentation ceremony to see what the captain's have to say.

19.6 Sophie Molineux to Deepti Sharma, that's a low full toss a shade outside off. Deepti swipes it away down towards the deep midwicket region and only manages to come back for a brace. Royal Challengers Bangalore win by 2 runs.
5 runs needed off the last ball! It is yesterday's game all over again! Who will come on top?
19.5 Sophie Molineux to Deepti Sharma, FOUR! The Up Warriorz are still in with a chance. Deeepti comes down the track and converts the full one into a full toss and swings it away across the line, the deep square leg fielder didn't have much time and the balls skips away to the fence, 5 required off th final delivery.
19.4 Sophie Molineux to Deepti Sharma, that is so well bowled from Molineux. Much slower through the air a shade outside off, Deepti goes for the slog sweep but makes contact only with fresh air. 9 still required off 2 deliveries.
RCB fans look away from this comment. The last ball of the preview over caught Sophie Ecclestone plumb ahead of the sticks. With no reviews to their name, they lost a chance of picking up a wicket at a crucial juncture!
19.3 Sophie Molineux to Deepti Sharma, Dropped by Shreyanka Patil at mid-off. Fuller a shade outside off, Deepti comes down the track and drills it flat and hard straight to the mid-off fielder, good thing for RCB it's still a dot ball.
19.2 Sophie Molineux to Sophie Ecclestone, in the blockhole a shade outside off, jammed away towards the long-on region for a single. 9 required off 4 deliveries.
19.1 Sophie Molineux to Deepti Sharma, Deepti comes down the track and Molineux fires it wide outside off, Deepti gets an inside edge down towards the short fine leg region and had to scamper back to complete the single.
Two thrillers in two days. Wow, this has been quite a start to the tournament. UP Warriorz need 11 runs to win in 6 balls. Both teams are still in this contest. One cannot say what will happen now. Sophie Molineux [3-0-28-1] to bowl the last over

18.6 Georgia Wareham to Sophie Ecclestone, cuts away the flatter one a shade outside off, straight to the cover-point fielder. 11 required off the final over.
18.5 Georgia Wareham to Sophie Ecclestone, there was a noise on that occasion. Quicker and fuller down the leg side and that could have been LBW there. RCB doesn't have any review left and if Ecclestone hadn't hit that, it was absolutely dead.
Sophie Ecclestone, RHB, walks out to the middle and will be on strike to face her first delivery
