Commentary

There it is! A comprehensive win for the Kings XI Cricket Club and Simranjeet Singh has finished off it in style. The approach was straightforward from the Kings XI openers when they came out for the chase. Got into business straight away without wasting any time. One of the highlights of this calculated chase was the batters picked certain bowlers and targetted them.

Vikas Kumar was the heartthrob of the chase as he pioneered the process emphatically. In an innings that consisted of 8 boundaries and 2 sixes, he opened a repertoire of strokes that were coupled with sneaky singles and incredible match awareness.

Bejawada Phanindra and Rajwinder Singh were expensive for their respective overs with the latter going for 17 runs off his one over. The field placings were not aligned with the lengths that bowlers bowled and to add to the agony, numerous extras with some of them going for boundaries eventually cost them the match.
