Royal Strikers tried their best to chase these runs down. To be sure, they came quite close to doing so, but were unfortunately unable to do so. They made a few blunders which cost them deep.

The biggest of these was to for skipper Priyan Pushparajan to come in at number three and not open the innings. Chanjal Sudarsanan, who opened the innings with Ashwin Raju instead, took eleven balls to score eleven.

Although it may not look like much, the momentum of the game was gone by the time he got out.

Although the other batters in the side tried their best to resurrect the momentum and push forth, they could not quite do so given the lapse earlier in the innings. Red Stars will feel extremely pleased with this showing of theirs, and they deserve to be so.
