That's it for this match, folks! Shreyas Gopal's side are rollicking at pace in this tournament while Mayank and Co. have a big list of things to work on. For now, this is Rudransh and Bidipto signing off for Sportskeeda!
Shreyas Gopal (Shivamogga Lions captain): It's great. 2 out of 2 is we always dreamed of. A few things to work out but we can do that. [On not coming to bat earlier] The situation didn't need me at that time. I think I need to be a bit selfless in such situations. The team's interest is always above mine. Kranthi and Shivaraj are better finishers and Kranthi's choice paid off today as well. [On opening the bowling] Bhuvan hasn't played me before so the thought was I might beat his edges and we got a team wicket and a maiden over, which is always a bonus. I honestly keep a par of 170/180 I back my bowlers to defend that. So I was pretty happy with 200.
Rohan Kadam has been adjudged the Player of the Match! Here is what he has to say.
Rohan Kadam: The pitch was a little sticky initially. I supported Nihal to begin with and then, backing myself, stepped on the accelerator and got the runs. Happy that they came off!
It is time for the post-match presentation!
End of the match! Shivamogga Lions win by 36 runs! They make it 2 in 2 while Bengaluru Blasters lose their second match!
What a performance from the Lions! They dominated this game from ball 1. 202 was an excellent total but we have seen that been chased a hundred times at this stadium and the Blasters surely had the quality to do that as well. But as soon as Mayank got runout on the second ball, they just got shell-shocked and never really recovered.
Raju was dismissed by the excellent and metronomic Koushik. Acharya and Deshpande built up a mini partnership which was understandably slow at the start and was broken by the second run out of the former.
Gopal was excellent in the middle overs and just conceded 11 runs off his four overs. He was helped well by impact player and mystery spinner Devadiga, who tightened the screws too until his last over. That's when Mahesh and Appana, probably after getting a message in the strategic time out, went all berserk.
Their four sixes provided more entertainment than hope before two more runouts killed both.

19.6 Kranthi Kumar to L R Kumar, SIX RUNS TO FINISH BUT SHIVAMOGGA LIONS GET THEIR VICTORY! Full and in the slot outside off-stump. L R gets the width he wanted to swing through the line. He connected superbly and managed to get it over the rope at deep cover!
19.5 Kranthi Kumar to Aashish Mahesh, full outside off-stump. Heaved down to long-on from deep in the crease for a single.
19.5 Kranthi Kumar to Aashish Mahesh, WIDE outside the line of off-stump on this occasion. Time to bowl it again.
19.4 Kranthi Kumar to Aashish Mahesh, full around off-stump. Squirted to cover off the front foot but the single is refused by Aashish here.
19.3 Kranthi Kumar to L R Kumar, full outside off-stump. L R stays back and tries to thump it over mid-off. All he gets is a leading edge down to long-on for a single.
19.2 Kranthi Kumar to L R Kumar, OH! Full outside off-stump. L R went for an almighty swing from the back foot and lost his bottom hand in the end. it took the inside edge and went to the left of the keeper. But the keeper did really well to get to it with the dive and claimed a catch! The third umpire has been called for here. He reckoned there is too much doubt and so, gave it not out!
19.1 Kranthi Kumar to Aashish Mahesh, full outside off-stump. Driven firmly and over the in-field down to long-off for a single.
Final over of the innings. Whatever they score here would help them save a bit of NRR points which can come in handy later.

18.6 HS Sharath to L R Kumar, short and fast over off-and-middle this time. The batter got surprised a bit and then went for the pull shot on the back foot. By then, he was beaten for both pace and bounce. No run.
18.5 HS Sharath to L R Kumar, full around off-stump. Lifted from deep in the crease over mid-off for a couple of runs.
18.4 HS Sharath to L R Kumar, FOUR RUNS! Too short and too slow outside off-stump. This gets upper cut away over short third man for a boundary! 150 comes up for Bengaluru.
18.3 HS Sharath to Aashish Mahesh, short and slow outside off-stump. Swatted down to long-on off the back foot for a single again.
18.2 HS Sharath to L R Kumar, short and slow outside off-stump. A miss of the slash on the back foot through the line and then, a miss by the keeper too to pick up a bye!
