Temba Bavuma, South Africa captain: It was great to get a game in finally and even better to see the sun shine brightly. We were good in all three departments today, Rilee batted superbly to help us get past 200, some of the shots he played were stunning to say the least. The batting line-up has a lot of players in it now who can take the attack to the opposition and score quickly. The bowling, as always, with Anrich and KG was good, but great to have the spin twins in operation today, bowling so well and with control.

Shakib Al Hasan, Bangladesh captain: We were poor with the execution of plans after the first over with the ball. Nothing really went right for us, and we ended up giving too many runs away through the middle period. The partnership between Rossouw and Quinton took the game away from us I feel, though we came back well in the last five overs to restrict them to a score much lower than what could have been. We have to adapt to the conditions better with the bat, adjusting to the pace and bounce of the surface is key and if we lay a good platform in the first 10 overs, it will help us to launch an attack in the final 10.

Rilee Rossouw (Player of the Match): de Kock and I complement each other really well. When I looked at the wagon wheel today, he scored runs behind square and I was preferring in front of square. To score a century is fantastic but to get two points was more important. It would always be a tough target to chase down for Bangladesh, but after the way they started, they should have done better that losing by this big a margin. A massive shot in the arm for South Africa though, as they register a comprehensive victory with a positive net run rate of over 5 runs per over!

When Soumya Sarkar hit those two big sixes off Kagiso Rabada in the first over, Bangladesh hoped for something remarkable, but come the third over, and Anrich Nortje settled the scores with two wickets in it. Since then, it was one way traffic as far as the match was concerned! South Africa kept chipping away with wickets from both ends, with both pace and spin, and Bangladesh kept falling deeper into the hole.

Litton Kumer Das held fort for a while, looking the most assured of all the Bagladeshi batters against all kinds of bowling, but unfortunately for him, there was no real support from the other end, even to bat the full 20 overs out.

Tabraiz Shamsi and Keshav Maharaj were impressive with their respective left-arm spin bowling, and managed to keep the pressure maintained on the Bangladeshi batting. The sun coming out helped them a bit, but they were really good with their guile.

Now, the loss for Bangladesh will hurt them badly, with a sharp drop in their net run rate.
