Aiden Markram (captain, South Africa): (On hamstring injury) Just a precaution, didn't want to aggravate the injury and hence didn't bat. He (Jansen) has been huge for us, we know in conditions like these, we need to pick up wickets early on and he is peaking at the right time for us. (On Klaasen's return) Great to see him in the middle, he has been in great form in the last few months, and great to have him playing after recovering from the elbow niggle. (On the possibility of playing their Semi Final in Dubai) We will have to see what the conditions look like, we have a big squad and we will pick the players accordingly. Temba isn't here tonight but he and the management will sit together and work it out.
Jos Buttler (captain, England): Very disappointed, fell short of the mark. It was a decent surface and a bit two-paced. We haven't made big contributions, which has been the thing throughout the competition. As a group, we aren't getting results, time to go out and have a chance of scene and see where cricket takes you forward. Great to see people from within and outside the team support the turnaround. Very sure Brendon and the guys put up a plan and the guys put their foot down and take where the side should be. It was a proud moment to be a world cup winning captain, the best day in my captaincy career. Joe has been a great example for English cricket throughout and has led it in a different way. Hopefully I get back to form and contribute to the team
Marco Jansen is the Player of the Match, here is what he had to say: Obviously it's a good feeling, boys have worked really hard. Wasn't the easiest of conditions for the bowlers. There was no swing today but I am happy with my performance, hit my lengths pretty well. Only 28 metres? I was the ball going up, wanted to reach there and I am lucky to reach there. For now, I just wanna go and sleep now. Wanna take how it goes tomorrow.
7:42 pm local time, 8:12 pm IST: South Africa beat England by 7 wickets
South Africa: 181/3 in 29.1 overs
Rassie vd Dussen: 72(87b) | Jofra Archer: 2/55 (9 overs) Heinrich Klaasen: 64(56b) | Adil Rashid: 1/37 (7 overs)
A clinical performance from South Africa. Not many looked at them as favourites when they were pitted in Group B alongside England and Australia but they have done a fine job of playing some excellent cricket. They will now be going into the semi-finals and will be waiting to see whom they will be up against in their match.
South Africa knew they were a batter down even before the match started, with Markram injuring his hamstring. It looked like they were going to be troubled a bit more as they lost Stubbs for a five-ball duck. Rickelton lost his wicket in a bid to go after the bowling on offer with the Proteas losing two wickets in the powerplay.
But then, Rassie van der Dussen and Heinrich Klaasen put together 127 runs in 125 balls, with both batters scoring respective half-centuries. In the end, it was David Miller's special to end this game on a high with a six that sealed their spot at the top of the Group B table.
As for England, there will be some soul-searching and regrouping. They have lost all three of their games in the tournament and they will want to ensure that the new skipper that takes over from Jos Buttler sets a path for them leading up to the next ODI competition ahead of them.
Jofra Archer bowled a fine spell early on and picked up two wickets. Adil Rashid was the only other bowler to have a scalp next to his name. Barring the two, Saqib Mahmood, Liam Livingstone, and Jamie Overton were expensive and faced the wrath of Klaasen and vd Dussen.
Let's now go down to hear what the captains and the Player of the Match have to say.
29.1 Liam Livingstone to David Miller, SIX! Miller ends the match in style as South Africa thump England by 7 wickets. In the slot around the off-stump channel, Miller holds his shape and launches it down the ground, sends it many a mile over the long on fence.
Only a run coming from that over. Adil Rashid throws a spanner in the works for SA when it comes to finishing it off with a big hit. South Africa continue to wait and look for that one ball that helps them seal the game

David Miller, LHB, walks out to the middle
28.4 Adil Rashid to Heinrich Klaasen, WICKET! Klaasen tried to finish the match off in style but ends up skewing it up in the air and the backward point fielder Saqib Mahmoood doesn't make a mistake. Flighted on a fuller-length a sshade outside off, Klaasen's eyes lit up there, tries to launch it down the ground but doesn't get anywhere close to the timing he was after.
Heinrich Klaasen c Saqib Mahmood b Adil Rashid 64 (56b, 11x4, 0x6)
28.3 Adil Rashid to Heinrich Klaasen, flatter on a good-length around middle, punched away back to the bowler.
28.2 Adil Rashid to Heinrich Klaasen, flatter on a good-length around off, punched towards the mid-off region.

South Africa are only a hit away from ending this match. Could take only a delivery, could take an over as well. Who knows
