The captains collect the trophy and the players from both teams pose with the trophy. Everyone wish to have a decider but it's been a fabulous series by all means. There were a lot of joy for the pacers in both venues and they made a real difference. There will be a lot of debate on this Cape Town wicket but it goes in the history books for hosting the shortest Test match in Cricket history.
India have started to look formidable in the foreign conditions. After surrendering at Centurion, they produced a crazy crazy performance to outclass South Africa in a venue that's never been a happy-hunting ground for them. They will be gearing up for the home Test series against England, and for South Africa, the players will busy with SA20, which starts on Jan 10th. It's been a pleasure covering this game and hope you enjoyed it as much as we did bringing it to you. Until next time, this is Pragadeesh signing off on behalf of my fellow commentator, Arya
Rohit Sharma - Obviously, a great feat but I have said that we have to learn from mistakes we did at Centurion. The boys got rewarded for their bowling effort. We knew it's going to be a short game and getting that first innings lead was important. (On Siraj) It was a special spell and we wanted to keep the ball in the right areas. A lot of credit should go to Bumrah, Siraj, Mukesh and Prasidh. Whenever we come to this part of the world, we know that it's going to be challenging but we did well when we came here last time. We wanted to win the series obviously but South Africa is not an easy team to beat here. (On Dean Elgar) He's been such an important player for South Africa and we spoke a lot on how we want to get him out early. I wish him all the best because we won't see a player like him often Rohit Sharma presents a signed Indian Jersey to Dean Elgar
Dean Elgar - We would've liked to add more runs to defend but still proud of the performance at Centuiron. It was a tough wicket and it didn't show any signs of getting better. Boomi is a world class bowler and we have to test ourselves against the quality bowlers. There were amazing memories here and this is always be a special place. I have started here and I am happy to finish it here.
Jasprit Bumrah - This place will hold a special place in my heart. The journey started here and I am proud with how things went. The journey started in 2018, we know as pacers that we have to make an impact in the foreign conditons because in India the spinners tend to bowl a lot. I didn't expect the match to go this fast and I haven't played a short Test match like this in my career.
Being a highest run-getter and highest wicket-taker, Dean Elgar and Jasprit Bumrah share the Player of the Series award
Mohammed Siraj is the Player of the Match, he is what he had to say: It's my best figure in my Test career. I didn't think too much and planned just to bowl in the right areas. I missed out on hitting the right areas in the first Test, I got the leaning from the previous test. Used that as feedback and tried to come back at my relentless best. Jassi bhai always provides the message of which line and length to bowl in what pitches. Keep supporting and keep loving.
Dean Elgar (South Africa captain): Tough one for us. Pretty positive coming into the game. The first innings put us on the backfoot. Indians came out firing but still a positive. 2-0 would have tasted a lot better but it's still 1-1. The way the bowlers bowled throughout the series was exceptional. To the naked eye, it looked a nice pitch but played totally different to what everyone thought it would play. We were on the receiving end of this. Knowing that it is slow and doesn't move around so don't regret the decision. The Indian bowlers just outclassed in the opening session which cost us the game.

Time for the post-match presentation ceremony.
Jasprit Bumrah breathed fire in the morning session and ended with figures of 6/61. Fans went crazy for another match winning performance which helped India level the series 1-1. Check 👇 for some of the reactions on his stupendous spell.
A team that hasn't won a Test match at Newlands has pinned the home team down inside two days. This is an unbelievable performance from the Indian team and moreover, this is the shortest Test match in the history of cricket. Everyone was expecting a response from this Indian team after their defeat at Centurion and how well they recovered to produce an astonishing effort. It all started when Siraj was wreaking havoc to the South African batters in the first session and his breathtaking spell helped India to bundle the visitors out for 55.
It was hard to recover after a batting setback like that and even though the bowlers dragged the team back into the contest by giving India the taste of their own medicine, it wasn't a good enough performance once again with the bat. They were in a good position at 63-3 at Stumps but Bumrah dismantled their batting order in the first session to put India in the driver's seat. Markram was fighting like a lone warrior and went on to play one of the finest knocks on a tough wicket but he didn't get any support at the other end.
It was all Bumrah in the morning session as he was relentless and picked up a six-fer. Markram's knock helped South Africa to set a target but it wasn't going to be daunting for the visitors. Early wickets were the only way for them to stay in the contest but Yashasvi Jaiswal went all guns blazing at the start to put India on the front foot.
South Africa's misery on the field continued as they spill three easy catches and that led to their downfall further. The Proteas' bowlers tried their best but the better team emerged victorious eventually
A stunning hit to end the over and India get their first victory at Newlands in the Test match history. Rohit roars in delight, hugs and handshakes all around in the Indian dressing room. Cameras pointing towards Dean Elgar as he signs off not in a way that he liked to

11.6 Marco Jansen to Shreyas Iyer, FOUR! Iyer finishes it off in style as India level the series 1-1. On a goodish-length around the middle stump, Iyer shows the full face of the bat and launches this down the ground, over the mid on fielder and trickles away to the fence. India's first victory at the Newlands in Cape Town.
11.6 Marco Jansen to Shreyas Iyer, Iyer backs away and goes for the big shot, had to adjust his shot in the end, pushed away towards the mid-off fielder.
11.5 Marco Jansen to Shreyas Iyer, that's a very good short delivery from Jansen, Iyer looked clueless again and just about manages to pop that away towards the off side off his gloves. Fortunately for Iyer it lands safely.
11.4 Marco Jansen to Shreyas Iyer, again a short one from Jansen, Iyer tries to take on the short ball but doesn't make any contact.
11.3 Marco Jansen to Shreyas Iyer, on a good-length around the off-stump, defended from the crease by Iyer.
11.2 Marco Jansen to Shreyas Iyer, on a good-length around middle and leg, Iyer tries to work it away towards the square leg region, maybe an inside edge this time onto his pads.
