Kedar Jadhav (captain, Southern Superstars): The coaches, players and the support staff responded brilliantly throughout the tournament. It was a thrilling finish, even for the audience. They like to view these matches. Yusuf batted well but Hamid and Chathuranga bowled well. (On Hamid Hasan bowling the super over) It was the easiest decision, throughout the tournament, they were afraid of playing him. The credit goes to Michael Bevan, Gautam sir and the support staff. They have worked hard with the players and they deserve it more than us. Most of us have an early morning flight tomorrow, so we might not sleep

Irfan Pathan (captain, Konark Surya Odisha): We still had a chance, anything above 10 runs and the defending team has a chance but Guptill in this form wasn't going to miss out. I can confidently say it is the best knock of LLC. He has been a champion player in the IPL and India and as far as Legends League is concerned, this is one of the best knocks. We wanted to win the trophy, but then it was a special inning. The spirit comes from my parents, it is in the blood. We are like warriors and when we used to play for India, we used to do it but now we do it wherever we play. We want to give our 100%. Sometimes it comes off, sometimes it doesn't. As long as the body works, we want to do well. I do broadcasting as we but whenever there is a chance to play, I will keep myself prepared and hopefully for the next 3-5 years we will be able to play. It was outstanding. We loved the appreciation we got here. Thank you so much, it was a pleasure to play here. I keep coming back here and to come back and give something to the fans, we enjoyed it

Hamilton Masakazda wins the Legend of the Match Trophy, here is what he has to say: Skip, thoughts and prayers with your family. I was getting starts but wasn't converting them. Today I managed it. Some of the grounds here have small boundaries, which plays into my hand as I like to hit the boundaries. Hopefully not, good fun to just bat and sit down. The last two seasons I have had the Impact Rule has worked in my favour

Michael Bevan: Well we had a great group. Did well in the auction. We had a great bunch and guys did the job. When we didn't win, we weren't far off. I gotta say I wasn't overly happy in the last five overs when the Pathan brothers are out there. We had it in the gap and in the last over I felt we lost. Not one of those matches you want to be coaching in. No it wasn't a difficult one. You can't bat and impact player. Pawan Negi has been hitting well and Guptill did brilliantly. The plans were pretty clear on what we wanted to do.

Shreevats Goswami: The way we were going we should have scored 180. What a final we had, what an incredible knock from Yusuf Pathan. The way Guptill is going you have to back him. Jimmy Neesham's tweet came to my mind. Credit goes to Yusuf Bhai. Some balls were not there to hit but he still managed to hit those for sixes.

Martin Guptill: I have a little bit of experience in super overs and managed to get it done. I threw the pads in the crowd thinking I won't have to bat again. Yeah it was one of those ones you felt you were ahead and then again they brought it back. Fitting way to close it with a super over. Well at the end of the day, you have nothing to lose. Lucky to get a couple of slot deliveries.

Pawan Negi: Last over was very crucial. It was one sided in the final over. Chaturanga bowled brilliantly and thankfully we got over the line. The ball was turning, he was batting very well and had the idea. He is an exceptional hitter against the spinners. We knew that Shahbaz will be bowling but Guptill took strike when Hasan came in.

Hamid Hassan: Unbelievable game. The way we started we thought we will win. Later on we bowled really well. The fight was on after Yusuf smashed 28 runs. I bowled a super over for the fourth time. Thanks to Guptill for hitting those two sixes. I was very scared after the no ball. I was under a bit of pressure but I handled it. So excited and happy to win the tournament.

Wow, what a final to cap it off! Superstars thought the game was gone but a runout in the end saw them come back and stretch the contest. They took it to the super over and managed to conquer it as they won it and showed why they are the table toppers! Congratulations to Southern Superstars and commiserations to Konark Surya Odisha, who will be gutted to have not gotten that extra run in the end.

Richard Levi and Dilshan Munaweera have had starts but they failed to convert them, wickets kept falling at regular intervals and while Kevin O'Brien held up one end, the flow of runs dried up with the score reading 118/7. Irfan Pathan launched any and every bowler that came into the attack and smashed them to all. With 6 needed off 6, it was a job well done but KSO fell short and took the game to the super over.

In the super over, it was a poor start as Hamid Hassan bowled a no-ball to start things off. He pulled things back but then Yusuf Pathan struck one into the crowd and tension arose. Hassan would manage to trap him before the wicket but then Levi walked to the middle and finished things off with a boundary.

The fate of the over was sealed when Guptill launched Pathania twice into the crowds. Pathania would then knock his off stump but then Gandhi and Pawan Negi capped it off and ended it comfortably for Southern Superstars as they went on to win their maiden title.

0.5 Diwesh Pathania to Pawan Negi, Southern Super Stars have won the Legends League Season 3. On a good-length around the middle stump, Negi hangs deep in his crease and tucks it away past the backward square leg fielder, takes a single to win it for the Super Stars. Take nothing away from Yusuf Pathan though. He single handedly took the game to the super over.

0.4 Diwesh Pathania to Chirag Gandhi, on a fuller-length around the middle stump, nudged away with soft hands towards the on side and sets off for a single. 1 needed off 2 now. Remeber a tie in the super over and the winner will be decided by coin toss.

That was a pace-on delivery on a good-length which pitches a tad outside off and jags back in sharply, beats him on the inside edge and rattles the off-stump.
