Commentary

SPAIN BEAT PORTUGAL BY 33 RUNS.

Wow, this was as one-sided a game as we have seen so far in this competition! Spain ran up a massive 147/5 in their quota of 10 overs. In return, however, Portugal fell apart and could only amass 114/6 in theirs. Mohammad Akram was the wrecker-in-chief for the bowling side, ending up with figures of 4/7 in his two overs. He bagged all his wickets in the third over which included a hat-trick. This makes it two wins in two for Spain. Will they be able to carry this momentum forward and continue doing so in this tournament? Portugal, on the other hand, need to pull their socks up, and do it quickly.

Christian Munoz-Mills (54) of Spain and Conrad Greenshields 53 (24) of Portugal were the star batsmen in this game whereas Mohammad Akram (4/7) and Atif Mohammad (1/19), both of Spain, were the leading bowlers.
