That will be the 4th consecutive victory for Sparta 1888! The reigning champions begin their campaign from where they had left off last season. They have done the double over Qui Vive and once again Qui Vive have been outplayed in all three departments of the game. Sparta 1888 win by 10 wickets and with 33 balls to spare which is more than half the innings.

Chasing 87, Sparta 1888 had no difficulties as Garnett Tarr once again exploded from the very first ball and all the bowlers were taken to cleaners. He scored 60 runs off just 17 deliveries which included 4 boundaries and 7 maximums. His half-century came up in the powerplay itself which was an ECS record. Today, we even saw Musa Ahmed playing a couple of attacking strokes in his small 11 ball 21 knock.

The bowlers once again had a day to forget against the finest batsmen of the best team in this tournament. There was nothing much that the bowlers could do in this small ground with Garnett Tarr firing all guns out. Puneet Bindlish was the only bowler to deliver an over of less than 12 runs.
