Commentary

What a game of cricket to wrap up the first day of ECS T10 Capelle. Chaturvedi came, saw, and almost smashed his team to a stunning victory. He was just getting the fuller balls from the bowlers, and it was a six-hitting exhibition from him, but in the decisive ball of the match, Dutt went for the back of the length delivery outside off and it reaped excellent rewards.

Magical knocks, Raining sixes, and a thrilling finish - We had everything in this match. It was a massive total to chase on this track, but Alphonse and Malik laid the perfect foundation by smashing 38 in three overs. That two overs of spin in the middle sucked all the momentum they gathered. Manin Singh ended the 70-run partnership by dismissing Malik, and his partner-in-crime Alphonse too fell instantly.

Harmer was struggling to get going, but in stark contrast, Chaturvedi hammered his first two balls for huge sixes and kept his team in the contest, with two overs to go. Shariz Ahmad bowled a 10-run penultimate over and the equation got reduced to 21 off the final six. Dutt bowled the final over and Chaturvedi got a lucky six in the fourth ball before dispatching the fuller one over long-off. He was expecting another fuller ball, but Dutt deceived him with a back of the length delivery as Sparta edged past Kampong by 4 runs.
