Commentary

A victory which did not come as comfortably as they thought it would come! Its the lions that are roaring today and not the tigers! What a match that was and until the second last over it could have been anybody's game, but the wicket coming off in the last over with the dot balls completely derailed the Tigers big time. Nicosia Tigers had a magnificent start to their second innings with 23 runs coming off the first over and we all thought that The Tigers will be winnings this one, until Mapalagama came in and took 3 wickets in one over, turning the entire match around. This knockout punch was too hard for the Tigers to take and it was the Sri Lankan Lions who went on to win from there on! A good piece of batting by Hasan as he hit a crucial 34 but it wasn't enough for them to win this match. Nicosia Tigers will look to improve for the matches to come in the future and The Lions will carry the confidence to their next games to come.
