Steelpan Players won by 38 runs Jyd Goolie 58(23) | Jeremy Solozano 21(22) Anderson Phillip 3-18(2) | Aamir Ali 1-16(2)
It's a thumping win for the Players. Goolie's onslaught at the end not only helped the Players to add that extra 25-30 runs but it also broke the resolve of the batters as they produced an insipid show early on and never recovered from an early setback. Anderson Phillip set the tone with the double strike in his very first and things only got complicated for the Cavaliers once the innings progressed
They scored just a solitary boundary in the first five overs and runs didn't come at a rapid pace even after that. The introduction of spin at both ends made things bad to worse, and the Steelpan bowlers continued to stamp their authority to pin the Cavaliers' batters down. It was deemed as an exciting battle but turned out to be a one-sided tussle in the end

9.6 Allan Laurent to Sion Hackett, FOUR! That was a length delivery outside off from Laurent, Hackett slices this away over the backward point region and it trickles away to the fence. The Steelpan Players win by 40 runs.
9.5 Allan Laurent to Sion Hackett, SIX! That was what Hackett was waiting for. On a length around the middle stump channel and that has been hoisted away over the deep midwicket fence for a maximum.
9.4 Allan Laurent to Sion Hackett, that was a quickish short of a length delivery which hits Huckett somewhere around the mid-reef.
9.3 Allan Laurent to Sion Hackett, this time Hackett does take the single. Pushes this length delivery around middle back to the bowler. Sorry folks, there was a confusion and they haven't taken a single.
9.2 Allan Laurent to Sion Hackett, flat bats this back of a length delivery a shade outside off towards the long-off region but only for a single. Oh no he has resufed the single by the look of things.
9.1 Allan Laurent to Jeremy Solozano, fuller-length delivery outside off, driven towards the extra cover region and has to be content with a single.
9.1 Allan Laurent to Jeremy Solozano, Laurent starts off with a wide outside the off-stump and he has to reload that.
Allan Laurent, right-arm fast medium, comes into the attack
Philip was having a smooth day until that nonchalant flick from Hackett in his very first ball

8.6 Anderson Philip to Sion Hackett, SIX! What a start from Hackett. Where was he hiding in the dressing room? A nonchalant flick of the wrist. Was on a length around middle and leg, Hackett gets inside the line of the ball ever so slightly and whips it away well over the deep square leg fence.
Sion Hackett, RHB, walks in at no.6
8.5 Anderson Philip to Silus Cooper, WICKET! That was a fullish-length delivery outside off, that zipped off the pitch and Cooper was beaten by the pace on this occasion. Throws his hands at that only to get an outside edge which has been safely pouched by the keeper.
Silus Cooper c Ramdin b Phillip 17 (11b, 1*4, 1*6)
8.4 Anderson Philip to Jeremy Solozano, short of a length delivery from Philip, again a mistimed pull from Solozano, he was so far away from the crease but the fielder misses the direct hit.
8.3 Anderson Philip to Silus Cooper, on a fullish-length around off and middle, Cooper swings across the line ane ends up getting an inside edge towards the short fine leg fielder for a single.
8.2 Anderson Philip to Silus Cooper, FOUR! That has been crunched down the ground for a boundary. Fuller outside off and Cooper throws the kitchen sink at that. Past the bowler in a flash and off to the fence.
8.1 Anderson Philip to Jeremy Solozano, that was a short of a length delivery from Philip, Solozano gets a top edge as he goes for the pull, the mid-on fielder runs in but couldn't quite reach that, a single taken.
Anderson Phillip comes back into the attack
Proving to be one of those days where Steelpan bowlers can't do anything wrong with the ball and this match has become a mere-formality
