That is all we have in terms of cricketing coverage for today. Join us tomorrow for plenty of cricketing action, as always! 7 T20s taking place on the last day of the week, and we are all up for it! This is Rajarshi, signing off on behalf of myself and Pragadeesh. Good night!
Faf du Plessis, Joburg Super Kings captain: It's quite important to get a close game. Our batters will gain a lot of confidence from a chase like that. We were excellent with the ball, our fielding was brilliant. I should have gone through and made sure to take it home. The wicket was slow and low, much to our surprise, there was a little bit of grip in both the innings. We are doing the right things as a bowling unit and today is a major step in the right direction for our batting line-up.
Aaron Phangiso, Player of The Match: I was given an opportunity in a tournament like this to participate, and I think I have been doing well during the year, and I am grateful for that. Just practice and practice and practice and experience. I try to keep my game simple. I stick to what I know best and obviously know whom I'm bowling to, just stick to my strengths. Wickets are different, sometimes you bowl slower or quicker, I stick to my strengths and hit that good length. It was more the wicket that helped in turning the ball, it's good to turn one every now and then. (On his action being reported) It was tough, but I got through it with a lot of support.
Aaron Phangiso is the Player of The Match
Aiden Markram (Sunrisers Eastern Cape Captain) - Nice and close in the end. 20 more runs would've been ideal with the bat. But we showed tremendous character to drag this match to the last over. It was tough initially but 140-150 would be good to have a crack on this wicket but we scrapped our way to 120-odd. Yeah, we felt quite a bit of variability on this wicket. It's all about pitching it in the right areas. I am happy with the fightback. It's a blessing in disguise to lose this match because we access the conditions better tomorrow and have a crack at it
Match summary: Joburg Super Kings won the toss and opted to bowl

Joburg Super Kings 2nd innings 128/5 (19.4 Overs) Leus du Plooy 47*(40) | Roelof van der Merwe 2/16 (4)
Joburg Super Kings win by 5 wickets with 2 balls to spare
Leus du Plooy celebrates his 100th T20 by guiding his side home in a tense low-scoring chase! Kudos to the Sunrisers Eastern Cape for putting up an intense fight as they did with the ball and on the field, they fought tooth and nail to take the game to the last over! Magala landed three brilliant yorkers, but one ball saw all the hard work come undone, and the Super Kings are home and dry eventually!
Faf du Plessis and Neil Brand took a few unnecessary risks in the powerplay after the Super Kings lost Reeza Hendricks early on, but it came off in their favour. The powerplay went exceedingly well for them, and by the time it came to an end, there was a feeling that they already had this one in the bag! But then, the spin attack of the Eastern Cape came in one by one, they chipped in with quiet overs, and soon after, the wickets started to come!
The game turned on its head once du Plessis holed out to the man at long-on at a tender stage of the game. Makhanya was then run out in a kamikaze bit of calling, and Donavon Ferreira succumbed to the mounting pressure, charging down the wicket blindly and paying the price for it. It was left to Leus du Plooy to guide them home; he had the big hitting Romario Shepherd to help him out at the other end, and the duo did a commendable job of absorbing the pressure, playing out the dots and targeting Magala's pace in the 18th over. The Eastern Cape never said never, though, and a terrific penultimate over from van der Merwe sized things up for a mouth watering climax. Magala got through the first half of the final over well enough, but the second half lasted only one delivery eventually, the other one being a front foot no ball which was steered to the boundary by du Plooy.
The crowd has been sent into stunned silence. That is as terrible an anti-climax as you'll see to a game this enthralling! The Joburg Super Kings almost made a meal of it, but they get the much-required win!
19.5 Sisanda Magala to Leus du Plooy, FOUR! Pin drop silence now. Misses the yorker this time and it's in the slot around off-stump, du Plooy shuffles across and heaves it wide of square leg. Smuts dives to his right but couldn't get a hand to it and the ball trickles into the fence. Hang on! Looks like Magala has overstepped and the umpire signals it as a no-ball. This match deserves a last ball finish after all the twists and turns but Magala bowls a no-ball in a crunch time. Super Kings won by 5 wickets
19.4 Sisanda Magala to Romario Shepherd, misses the yorker and it ended up as a full toss, Shepherd swings across the line and misses. The ball hits below the tummy and they take a run
That's three yorkers that Magala has nailed back to back! The crowd keeping chanting, the atmosphere is electric, can the home side sneak through here? They need three more of these!
19.3 Sisanda Magala to Leus du Plooy, yorker length delivery angling on off-stump, du Plooy shuffles across the off-stump and flicks it to deep mid-wicket for a single
19.2 Sisanda Magala to Romario Shepherd, another inch-perfect yorker nipping in on middle stump, Shepherd couldn't get underneath the ball as he gets an inside edge onto his boot. They take a run
19.1 Sisanda Magala to Romario Shepherd, right in the blockhole on middle stump, Shepherd digs it back. No run
Tremendous, tremendous perseverance from van der Merwe and the Eastern Cape fielders. They bring it to 8 off the final over. Two hits can do it for the Super Kings, though, Magala will be under a lot of pressure, especially given what happened in the previous over.

18.6 Roelof van der Merwe to Romario Shepherd, fires it quick on middle stump, Shepherd drags it down to long-on for a single. 8 needed off the final over
18.6 Roelof van der Merwe to Romario Shepherd, WIDE! Quicker and fuller outside the tramline. Have to reload this again. Merwe tried something different but it didn't quite work out
18.5 Roelof van der Merwe to Romario Shepherd, quicker and fuller outside off-stump, Shepherd drives it down to extra cover. No run
18.4 Roelof van der Merwe to Leus du Plooy, pitched up, du Plooy gets to the pitch of the ball and drills it down to the left of long-off. The fielder dives and stops it superbly. He saves three runs as they run just a single
18.3 Roelof van der Merwe to Romario Shepherd, low full toss dipping in, Shepherd smashes straight back and Merwe dives to his right and half-stops it. Brilliant fielding and they take a single
