So then, it turned out to be a low-scoring thriller in the end. The Swedish bowler Baluch got the ball moving at the top and troubled the German batters. He was well assisted by the other bowlers too.

It looked like Germany were in trouble at the halfway stage into this run-chase. But a couple of crucial knocks from Sachin and Sahir before him ensured that Germany were able to get across the line at the end.

Sweden bowlers did well to get wickets regularly and kept things fairly tight. However, they did not have enough runs on the board in this contest. And that probably cost them this game.

Germany wins their first game of the tri-series, and Sweden faces their first defeat after winning the opening game of the series against Estonia in dominating fashion.
