A pretty comfortable 48-run victory for Switzerland as they register their third consecutive win in this tournament. One has to say this result was evident as soon as Switzerland batted first and posted a huge 172/3 on the board. To their credit, the Luxembourg openers started decently as they made 43 runs in the three-over Powerplay.

16 runs came off the fourth over too as Luxembourg continued to fight but the duo of Musa Ahmadzai and Jai Sinh followed it up with two economical overs. In the very next over, Aneesh Kumar castled Asghar Khan to take the first wicket. The Luxembourg skipper Edmund Packard batted aggressively by striking two consecutive maximums but Sinh had the final laugh. In the penultimate over, Asad Mahmood added a couple of scalps as Luxembourg's innings came down to a quiet end. However, VIvek Dixit ensured he got to his fifty before holing out off Osama Mahmood's bowling. There was some drama as the two teams shook hands and started to walk off but they were made to play an extra ball with the injured Mayank Nagayach striking a boundary!
