We managed to get a partnership and was able to accelerate towards the end, was a par score. Enjoyed the power surge, you feel the pressure when you take the attack back on. The ball was coming on nicely, but was tough when they took the pace off. Quick turnaround, we'll head home, hopefully take the momentum today for tomorrow.

Sydney Thunders W have finally managed to clinch a victory in what promised to be a mouth-watering contest.

The hosts were asked to bat first in this rain-shortened game, and they made use of this opportunity quite well. Thunders have their hold in this match right from the start only. Athapaththu and Knight took responsibility on themselves after a slow start by the thunders. Anika Learoyd also played a vital 10-run knock from just 5 deliveries, which helped Thunders to end their innings on a high note.

After that Hurricanes came out for the chase, but they were not able to do so tonight. Lee and skipper Villani gave a decent start to this run chase but in the middle overs, wickets started to falter in clusters for them. Heather Graham too shows some fighting intent, but she can't continue it for a long time. This all caused them to face a defeat against the Thunders.
