Suresh Raina (California Knights Captain) - We had a good start. Jack and Milind played brilliantly and that's why we scored post 150. We have a lot of bowling options and it's important they execute their plans
Milind Kumar is the Player of the Match! Here is what he has to say.
Milind Kumar: The wicket was nice. It kept a bit low but it came on to the bat. It was like magic batting with Jacques Kallis! Great to put up that partnership with him.
Ben Dunk (Texas Chargers captain): It was a really good first game I have to say for all of the guys after such a long time. I thought Jacques Kallis and Milind Kumar played really well and took the game away from us with the bat. We will come back stronger tomorrow for sure!
California Knights won by 48 runs Milind Kumar 76(28) | Mukhtar Ahmed 33(10) Ashley Nurse 3-12(2) | Fidel Edwards 1-24(2)
It's a thumping win for the Knights. They posted a mammoth total on the board and there was an initial scare when Mukhtar went all guns blazing at the start but Nurse's introduction resulted in a double strike as the spinner two well-set batters to help his team regain some momentum in the contest
Raina bowled spin from both ends to rattle the Charges' batters and the lower-order fell cheaply for a single-digit score. Upul Tharanga stood at one end and scored a few boundaries but his knock only helped the Charges to reduce the deficit of the defeat.
Losing Hafeez early on was a big setback but the team that was dominant in all departments of the game won this contest comprehensively in the end

9.6 Pawan Suyal to Upul Tharanga, THAT IS THE MATCH TO CALIFORNIA KNIGHTS! Yorker on leg-stump on this occasion. There was not much that Tharanga could do about it on the back foot after making a bit of room. He dug it out to the short-leg region and played out a dot ball.
9.5 Pawan Suyal to Upul Tharanga, FOUR RUNS OFF LEG-BYES! Full down the leg-side and this is a flick of the ball off the pads that beats everyone to the fine-leg fence off the attempted hoick over square-leg!
Imran Khan, RHB, walks in at no.10
9.4 Pawan Suyal to Fidel Edwards, OH! RUN OUT! Good length ball around off-stump. Driven straight to extra cover off the front foot for an attempted single. Suresh Raina had one stump to aim at but he knocked it over with a direct hit and sent Edwards on his way!
9.3 Pawan Suyal to Upul Tharanga, full around middle-stump. A big heave attempted again over mid-wicket from deep in the crease but the outside edge on it takes it to short third man for a single only!
9.2 Pawan Suyal to Fidel Edwards, good length ball around off-stump. Bunted down to long-on off the bottom half of the bat for a single to get off the mark.
Fidel Edwards, RHB, walks in at no.9
9.1 Pawan Suyal to Umar Gul, CLEANED HIM UP! Good length ball on leg-stump. Heaved on the up over mid-wicket but the connection went missing. All the connection that there was, was of the ball with leg-stump!
Umar Gul b Suyal 7 (7b 1x4 0x6)
Santokie missed the yorker by an inch and Tharanga got underneath the ball to drill it straight down the ground. He bowled a pretty decent second over after conceding 21 runs in his first

8.6 Krishmar Santokie to Upul Tharanga, FOUR RUNS AGAIN! Full but in the slot on middle-stump. Tharanga swings through it and picks up a boundary over the head of the bowler down to the left of long-off!
8.5 Krishmar Santokie to Upul Tharanga, OH! Full around off-stump. Pushed with force to the left of mid-off but the single was not taken! Tharanga had to rush back home but he did it well enough in the end.
8.4 Krishmar Santokie to Upul Tharanga, FOUR! Full and in the block hole again on middle-stump. Tharanga swung the bat through the line and got an inside edge to it to get it down to fine-leg for a streaky boundary! 100 up for Texas.
8.3 Krishmar Santokie to Upul Tharanga, full and in the block hole around leg-stump. Tharanga stays leg-side of the ball and drills it to short cover, no run.
