Never in doubt! The move to hand the ball to Rameshkumar for the final over backfires badly for Lemgo! Ashish Makkar, nerves of steel, finishes the game off in a sumptuous fashion! Deshpande chipped in with a boundary in the last over as well, and the duo ensure that Sanka's hard-earned fifty does not go in vain!

Daljeet Singh bowled one of the more memorable penultimate overs in the ECS, having seen his side stay behind for the first 8 overs of the run-chase. Sanka set the tone early on itself, he was aided by Irfan Ahmed a bit as well, who was showing signs of his form from the previous season. But once Irfan was out, the pressure slowly started to seep in on the middle-order. Sanka, though, was ice cool and kept batting the way he has been, completing a half-century eventually.

The required rate jumped from just over 6 in the final three to 15 off the final as Lemgo were sniffing a comeback. Daljeet's penultimate over gave them a major boost, but the skipper's decision to bowl Rameshkumar backfired. Koln win the first of the two games between these two sides today.
