ACCB 165/1 in 10 overs (Abdul Asif 92* off 31, Rajesh Kumar 1/16 off 2 overs) beat United Cricket Club 117/8 in 10 overs (Ramesh Satheesan 59 off 22, Muhammad Ishaq 3/15 off 2 overs) by 48 runs.

In the end, it turned out to be a stroll in the park for ACCB. Mind you, it was far from it as long as Ramesh Satheesan was out there. The national skipper seemed keen on razing down this 166-run target in front of him and didn't he set out meaning business.

While his partner Ali Hussain struggled to get going, none of it seemed to bother Satheesan with 63 runs racked off the first four overs. Satheesan blitzed his way to a 19-ball half-century to send shivers down the spines of the ACCB bowlers who had no clue as to how to get the better of him.

It was Sami Ullah who returned into the attack and turned a redemption arc with Satheesan's wicket, getting him out caught and bowled. Thereafter, anything and everything that the United batters tried went in vain.

Wickets fell at regular intervals, the asking rate skyrocketed and the foregone conclusion that was expected at the halfway mark of this contest turned into reality. In the end, ACCB have coasted to a 48-run victory, pulling one back having gone down by 9 wickets in the first leg of this same duel.

In the end, it turned out to be far easier than what it looked. It was Ramesh Satheesan or nothing as far as UCC were concerned and that's exactly how it transpired. ACCB beat United Cricket Club by 48 runs!
