Commentary

USC Magdeburg did not quite get the start they would have liked to get in the powerplay, they just had the one big over and a lot of extras until the half-way mark that actually helped them to stay in with a chance until that point. None of their batsmen could get themselves going and stay out there for a long time. They failed to build partnerships as well and never really looked to be in the chase after the first five overs.

USG Chemnitz did give a few runs away but post the half-way mark, they came back really well to keep things tight while they continued to pick wickets regularly as well. They did not allow Magdeburg to get close and it was a pretty comfortable finish for them in the end. Skipper Rajesh led the show with the ball with his brilliant spell of 3/15, while Sahith claimed a couple of wickets as well.

So, USG Chemnitz winning both their games of the day, completing a double over Magdeburg as well. While the first game was slightly close, they put up a much improved show in this game and will be pleased with their overall performance. Not quite the day for Magdeburg, who will be hoping to bounce back soon.
