Well the knock Patil turns out to be crucial indeed as he helps his side manage to get a win here and end the group stages with a win. It llooked like his would surely cost BICA some runs considering that D/L method came into play. However, it was not the case and they manage to win this game!

However, Patel continued to find the runs from other bowlers. and single handedly carried the innings on his back. However, Rain decided to make it presence felt in this game as well and Patil lost his wicket right towards the end of the seventh over and the umpires decided to pause the game.

Patil who did well with the ball carried on with the bat as he smashed three consecutive sixes right at the start of his innings which brought his side back into this run chase! Chemnitz skipper brought himself on and slowed down the scoring rate a bit.

Berlin ICA batters were trying their best to smash the ball but were not able to break the shackles. The runs were not coming and they lost a couple of more wickets. However, things change for good in the fourth over for Berlin ICA.

So coming into chase a challenging total of 109, Berlin ICA had a bit of a shaky start as their key batter Chanti just skied the ball around and was living dangerously. He managed to get away with it as he was dropped in the first over. However, he could last long as he lost his wicket soon.

UPDATE (16:18 IST, 12:48 local time): So it's offical, Berlin International Cricket Academy have won this match based on D/L Method as the umpires have decided to call off this match!

UPDATE (16:12 IST, 12:42 local time): The rain has eased off a little here but has not stopped. Another crucial update coming our way is as per D/L Method, Target after 6.5 would be 71 which means if we can’t continue BICA would be winning.

There is not much time left before the start of the next game and the umpires along with match referee could declare a winner based on D/L Method! Stick around as we continue to bring you further updates!

Patil will be kicking himself in the dugout as he was batting well out in the middle wondering only if he had stuck around for one more delivery. The result could be decide on D/L Method and loss of wicket will surely hamper BICA here.
