Commentary

Venezia started off well with Nazmul Haque displaying his brutality and taking apart everything that came his way. Hosan Ahmed was enjoying watching his partner for the better part of the powerplay, but as soon as the field opened up, he lost his wicket, and made way for Mahbub Khan. A couple of more overs the barrage went on from Haque and Mahbub, but both were dismissed in the same over in the 6th over, putting pressure on Venezia.

Rajib Miah and Miah Alamin walked in with different plans Rajib Miah took charge and significantly brought down the run rate, as he managed to score 28 runs in just 10 balls, consisting of 3 fours and 2 sixes. He brought the equation down to something very doable, but still needed to take his team over the finish line.

Pressure crept up on him, after a couple of dot balls, and he too was dismissed by Sikander Abbas, who picked up 3 wickets in order to defend the total of 111. But Miah Alamin was taking nothing from the bowlers, as he gave one final blow in the penultimate over, and as good as wrapped up the match.

The 7th and 9th over produced over 40 runs, which made the difference and helped Venezia to victory. It was a good display with bat by everyone, chipping in with at least a boundary or more. But it was the efforts of Nazmul Haque, Rajib Miah, and hat trick hero Miah Alamin who did the needful.

Fresh Tropical did well for most part of the chase, but those two over where they went for a bundle of runs cost them the game, and they end up on the losing side. Something they can work on, and come back with a better fight.
