A much better performance from the Stars but they still lose by 73 runs. Their struggles continue in the tournament and that tells you a lot about their position. They conceded 50 runs above par due to an inconsistent bowling and a poor fielding effort in the first innings.

But they were a bit better with the bat. Baruah held his own from one end, taking his time early on and offering some big shots at the end. But the other side of the pitch was ever-changing with no new batter showing any kind of intent.

There was a small phase when Naveed was batting that TU looked like they might lose one point because they had gotten a bit complacent. But the double-wicket ninth over from Bhupender Verma changed that too.
