Match summary:
Wimbledon win by 10 wickets with 17 balls to spare
Michael Turner 63(28) | Jonathan Speller 2/9 (2)
Freddie Freeman 36 (13)
The change up the order for Wimbledon sure proved productive for the hosts! While they fell short of gaining a bonus point from the game, Wimbledon's opening duo never really let the Tunbridge Wells side in with a sniff over the course of the run-chase. Michael Turner led the way with a half-century, and left the task of hitting the winning run to Billy Sewell.
The duo started off steadily, taking minimal risk, and the runs came along thick and fast. A wicket or two towards the end of the powerplay might have made things interesting, but it was not to be for the Tunbridge Wells. Turner eventually teed off, making a belated attempt at the bonus point having brought the equation down within sight, and while Wimbledon fell short, they sure have managed to propel their Net Run Rate with this performance.
7.1 Lee Cormie to Billy Sewell, SIX! BANG! GAME, SET AND MATCH! What a thumping win for Wimbledon, they are showing that they are the team to beat here. Drags it short on the middle and leg. Sewell hangs back and heaves it way over deep square-leg for a maximum to seal the game in style.
Well, Wimbledon fall one run short of a bonus point. Tunbridge Wells gain something from the game as Turner levels the scores with a clean hit!
