We had a curtailed 6-over chase after rain caused a brief delay, but we didn't need all of them to get a result! Geneva ran away with the game eventually, with Ali Shah proceeding to play a blinder. Having come off a duck the previous game, Shah was determined to make a statement, and he made one all right! An unbeaten knock of 46 off 16, laced with some clean hitting, helped Geneva coast home eventually.

Winterthur didn't help themselves with the sundries. There were far too many wides and no balls, both waist height and pitches outside the strip. Barring Elyas Mahmudi, none of the bowlers were able to make an impact. Mahmudi, having been struck for a six off the first delivery of the chase, returned in spectacular fashion, knocking Idrees Haque and Massoud Kabir in quick succession.

Geneva slowly began asserting their dominance in the run-chase after that. Ali Shah was instrumental in doing so - he was severe on anything that was dished on a full-length at him. The 3rd over from Cupido was the one that concretely shifted the balance towards Geneva, and there was no stopping them after that. In the end, they took the game by a grand margin of 8 wickets with an over and a half in hand.
